Terms of that plan are: half the total amount owed paid right away, with the balance paid in a maximum of three (3) consecutive months. These terms are non-negotiable. After the payment(s) are complete, I will ship your items.

- All items will be shipped via the US Mail. I will ship either First Class or Priority Mail, depending on the size and/or weight of the item. FOREIGN BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE: The cost for foreign shipping is quite high, so please keep that in mind while placing your bids. I will ship to anywhere in the world, but to some countries, the shipping cost is very expensive. Insurance is optional.

- A prices realized list, enclosed with the merchandise, will be mailed to all winning bidders. I will happy to send a prices realized list to anyone that requests one. The list will be sent via e-mail.

- All items will be sold to the highest bidder. In case of a tie, the bidder with the earliest bid placed will be declared the winning bidder.

- If you need a picture or two of any item from a different angle, please ask. I would be happy to send them to you, via e-mail. And, if you are unclear with any description (or have any questions), please ask before the night of the auction. I want to make sure you know EXACTLY what you are bidding on.

- The placing of a bid is an Agreement to Purchase, indicating that you agree to the above listed Terms and Conditions.

Lot #1. Icelandic MAD Magazine #1 Original Front Cover Art Painting - MB $300

This is the original front cover painting to the first issue of the Icelandic version of MAD Magazine. The Icelandic version of MAD premiered in 1987, and lasted only six (6) issues, ceasing publication in 1988. Any issues of Icelandic MAD are rare and hard to find, but original art is almost impossible to find, as there were only three (3) pieces produced (the front covers to #1, #2, and #3). This beauty measures approx. 9 5/8" by 12 5/8", and you will also receive a color printers proof of the published cover, if you want to frame the pieces together. Ink & watercolor on art paper.

Price realized: $1400

Lot #2. Alfred E. Neuman Original 1950's Tie Bar Jewelry Piece - MB $150

This item is a piece of original MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman jewelry. Produced in 1957 by Astrahan Co. of New York City, this item is the "alligator clip" tie bar of the five piece set. Originally crafted with a satin silver plate, the finish has been rubbed off over the course of several years. But, the features of Alfred's face are still discernable, and it is still complete, with no repairs made. The alligator clip measures approx. 2" long, while Alfred's face measures approx. 1 1/8" by 1 1/4".

Price realized: $220

The books average Fine condition.

This lot contains an original display poster for the line of Certifiably MAD Collection paperback boxed sets . Produced in the 1970's by Warner Books, this sign has the same art as the slipcase for the Certified MAD boxed sets. The Portable MAD book is shown for size comparison only, and is not included in the auction.

Lot #5. Sealed Argentina MAD Magazine Puzzle Premium - MB $15

This is a cool foreign MAD premium. Produced in the 1970's by Industria Argentina, this is a 25-piece framed puzzle of Alfred E. Neuman. This item was sold in book stores and novelty stores, and this particular item appears to be New Old Stock (NOS). The puzzle is printed on thin paper board (like a white comic book backer board), and measures approx. 7 3/4" in diameter. This item is unused, and in sealed Mint condition.

This is a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1981 by BIBAIA TEENHE (a Greek publisher), this book is the Greek version of the MAD Magazine paperback book, MAD's Dave Berg Takes A Loving Look. This book is complete, with no missing pages, but it is not in "MINT" condition by any means. I would grade it in Fair/Good condition, with surface, corner and edge wear. It looks to have been transported in the back pocket of someone's jeans, as it also shows creasing and light bends. But, considering it is so rare, any condition of this book is exceptional. There were only three (3) paperback titles printed by the Greek MAD, and very few survive.

This is a super rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1980's, this is issue #2 from the Thailand version of MAD Magazine. This issue contains the exact content from the US issues, except that the entire issue is translated into the Thai language. Much like the Greek MAD paperback in Lot #8, this issue has definitely seen better days. But, it's rarity makes it incredibly desirable to even the most discriminating MAD Magazine aficionado. Lot #50. 1966 "The MAD Show" Advertisement, Playbill, and Original Cast Member T-Shirt P.J.'s Theatre / Los Angeles, California MB $500

This has got to be one of the rarest "MAD Show" collectibles ever produced. The MAD Show began its run at P.J.'s Theatre in May of 1966, which is when these items are from. The print ad is from the May 11, 1966 edition of Variety, the Playbill is dated May 1966, and the t-shirt.........well, the t-shirt is in a class by itself. It is an Adult size Large, and it has been worn a few times. I purchased this shirt directly from a former cast member on the show, and he also provided me with the Playbill. He said that he remembers about twenty people getting t-shirts like this one, but he has no idea how many still survive. My guess is less than five, if any at all. All items are in Excellent display condition. Don't miss this one!
