Lot #1 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Ceramic Christmas Ornament MB $25

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in the 2000's by Kurt Adler (a renowned ceramic sculptor that specializes in ornaments), this is an Alfred E. Neuman Christmas Ornament. This ornament shows Alfred's head peeking out of a chimney, with stockings and green ribbon hanging above. This ornament measures approx. 3 1/4" by 3 1/2", and is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. The original MAD hangtag is still attached as well.

Lot #2 - Postcard Collector Magazine (August 1987) w/ Pre-MAD Postcards Article MB $5

This is a cool piece of pre-MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1987 by Krause Publications, this item is the August, 1987 edition of Postcard Collector magazine. This issue is one of the hardest issues of Postcard Collector to find, simply because of the article about pre-MAD Magazine Alfred E. Neuman postcards. The article itself appears on three pages, and is filled with various examples of pre-MAD Alfred E. Neuman postcards. This issue still has the mailing label attached to the front cover, but otherwise is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #3 - Fighting MAD Paperback Book w/ "An Original" Sticker RARE MB $10

Here's a rare MAD Magazine paperback book. Published in 1961 by Signet Book Publishers, this is a First Printing of the MAD Magazine paperback book, "Fighting MAD". While this book normally wouldn't cause a stir, this book is rare because it has a gold sticker attached to the front cover. This sticker is very scarce and hard to find, because the only place you would see one is if it were placed on a First Printing book. Not all First Printing Signet / MAD paperbacks had these stickers attached, as these were copies that were sent out to booksellers as complimentary for their reviews on the new books. This book is in decent display condition, with surface, corner, and edge wear, but the sticker is beautiful.

Lot #4 - 1907 Antikamnia Tablet Calendar w/ Early Alfred E. Neuman Image MB $10

Here's a cool piece of pre-MAD / Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 1906 by the Anitkamnia Chemical Company, this is their annual 1907 tablet calendar. This calendar is titled "The Convalescent", and features two ladies and two children on the front. But, the back of the calendar features an early image of MAD Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman. In fact, this same image of Alfred E. Neuman would be used the next year by Antikamnia, for the front of their 1908 tablet calendar. This calendar measures approx. 7 3/4" by 10", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #5 - Swedish MAD Magazine 1964 / #9 Beatles on The Cover RARE MB $10

Here’s a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1964 by Williams Forlag AB, this is issue #9 from the year 1964 of the Swedish version of MAD Magazine (#29 overall). This issue contains reprints from the US version of MAD Magazine, but there is also some original content from Swedish artists and writers. This issue has been well read, and is in VG condition, with surface, corner and edge wear. As well as a full color comic section in the center, this issue features the Beatles on the front cover (along with Alfred E. Neuman as a Christmas Elf), and it just might be the most sought-after issue of Swedish MAD Magazine, even more than the first, #1 issue.

Lot #6 - MAD Magazine Trading Cards Series Three 55 Cards w/ Display Box MB $5

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1993 by Lime Rock International, this is the complete set of MAD Series Three trading cards. The series three set of MAD Trading Cards is difficult to find, as they had very poor distribution. Sets were made and placed into a black vinyl display box. After that, those sets that were left unsold were placed in a special white box, which is what is shown here. These cards and box are unused, and in Near Mint condition, with light handling and storage wear. Uncut sheets of these cards also exist.

Lot #7 - MAD Magazine Subscription Premium Print Soul Of MAD Collection MB $25

This is a cool MAD Magazine subscription premium. Produced in 2015 by E.C. Publications, this item is a numbered print of the cover to MAD Magazine #126, the Alfred E. Neuman "Uncle Sam" cover. This item is in Near Mint condition, and also comes with the original subscriber letter and cardboard mailer (with the Alfred E. Neuman return address stamp). This print is numbered 202/1000 (Sixth Edition), and is ready to hang. It measures approx. 11" by 14".

Lot #8 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Senior Softball Team T-Shirt RARE MB $5

Here's a cool piece of unlicensed MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 2000's by Dunn's Sporting Goods, this item is a softball uniform t-shirt for Mak's Place. This particular shirt is from the "Crabby Old Farts" senior softball team, and features Alfred E. Neuman, the MAD Magazine logo, and the words, "What? Me Worry?", all on the front of the shirt. The size tag has been removed, but it appears to be an Adult size Large. This shirt has seen lots of usage, and is in decent display condition, with pit stains and cut-off sleeves. This shirt is made from a thin, white fabric.

Lot #9 - DC Comics CO-OP Advertising Binder w/ MAD Magazine & Alfred E. Neuman MB $20

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and DC Comics memorabilia. Produced in 1994 by DC Comics, this is a binder of marketing materials for some of the brands under the DC Comics umbrella. This binder contains icons, titles, themes, and other information that would help retailers sell the DC Comics brand. These pieces of advertising would appear on billboards, TV and Radio advertising, flyers, the Yellow Pages, and other advertising streams. Besides MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman, most of the major DC Comics superheroes are included, as well as images from Vertigo, Looney Tunes, Milestone, and a few others. This item is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #10 - Cartoonist Profiles #8 November 1970 w/MAD's Antonio Prohias MB $5

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1970 by Cartoonist Profiles, this is issue #8 of Cartoonist Profiles magazine. Cartoonist Profiles was a popular cartoonist/comic artist publication that contained articles and interviews with some of America's most popular cartoonists. Among other interviews and articles, this particular issue contains an article about MAD Magazine's Antonio Prohias. Alfred E. Neuman even makes an appearance on the back cover. This issue has been read and enjoyed, and is in decent display condition, with surface, corner, and edge wear.

Lot #11 - Alfred E. Neuman Musical Notes Metal Coin 2000's Mint MB $10

Here's a cool piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 2000's, this is a metal coin / token with the face of MAD Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman on one side. This is an unlicensed item for sure, but the Alfred E. Neuman face is clear as day. The front has Alfred's face with the words, "MAD Musical Notes", while the back has the same words with three (3) music notes. This item measures 1 3/8" in diameter, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #12 - 1980's MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Sweatshirt MAD #132 MB $25

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman clothing. Manufactured in the late 1980's by Sun Sportswear, this is a MAD Magazine long-sleeved sweatshirt. This sweatshirt features the cover to MAD Magazine #132 on the front, and is an Adult size Small. This sweatshirt has been worn and laundered several times, but is still in Excellent display condition. This is a rather hard to find shirt variation from the MAD Magazine line by Sun Sportswear, so don't miss out!

Lot #13 - Chinese (Taiwan) MAD Magazine Full Color Subscription Poster 1990 MB $20

Here's a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1990 by Rock Communications, this lot contains a full color Taiwan MAD promotional subscription poster. The Chinese (Taiwan) version of MAD Magazine lasted only six (6) issues, and all six issues are rather difficult to find. But, even harder to find is this item. The front and back of the color poster is shown in Pictures 1 and 3. This color poster measures approx. 9 1/8" by 11 5/8" and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #14 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Marbles Unlicensed 2000's MB $5

This is a cool piece of "fantasy" MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 2000's, this is a bag of generic marbles. This bag of marbles was created during the "create your own collectible" craze of the early 2000's, and is one of the better pieces of unauthorized MAD Magazine collectibles. As stated before, the marbles included in the package are simply some generic marbles, although it would have been very cool to have the face of Alfred E. Neuman on each marble. The header card features the MAD Magazine logo and the face of Alfred E. Neuman, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #15 - MAD Magazine Watch Set w/ Original Display Stand 1988 Applause MB $100

Here is a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1988 by Applause, this is a set of three (3) different MAD Magazine 35th Anniversary watches, with the original store display stand. The watches have red, white, and black bands, and were sold individually in their own separate boxes. This display stand can hold each of the three watches, and all of the items together make for an attractive display. None of the watches come with their blue display boxes, but the original display stand instruction sheet is also included. The display stand does show some light wear along the edges, and it is in Excellent display condition. The watches are also in Excellent display condition.

Lot #16 - German MAD Magazine #1 First, Premiere Issue 1998 MB $15

Here’s a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1998 by Dino Verlags GmbH, this lot contains the first, premiere, #1 issue of the second edition of the German version of MAD Magazine. The second edition of the German MAD featured reprints from the US version of MAD, although there was original content by German artists and writers. The entire issue was also printed in full color, with bright, glossy pages. This issue appears to have been read just a few times, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #17 - MAD Magazine / Lime Rock Unused Instant Winner Card 1992 MB $5

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by Lime Rock International, this item is an unused “Instant Winner” card from the MAD Magazine Series I trading card set. Cards like these were randomly inserted into packs of MAD Magazine Series I trading cards and the winner would then fill out their mailing address on the back of the card to redeem their prize, the Lime Rock Inside Trader quarterly newsletter. I would assume most of these were redeemed when they were found (because, why not?), but there could also be more of these out there, considering the amount of still-factory sealed boxes of MAD Magazine Series I cards still floating around. In any event, this card is unused, and in Near Mint condition, with just a hint of storage and handling wear.

Lot #18 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Butane Lighter 1970's RARE MB $50

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1970's, this item is a MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman butane lighter. This particular item is one of a few that were given to the staff of MAD by the creator, who hoped that MAD would license it for sale. Unfortunately, MAD said "NO", with one of the reasons being that the gentleman used the word "Who" instead of "What" in the slogan on the front. The MAD Magazine logo, the face of Alfred E. Neuman, and the "Who Me Worry" slogan have all been etched onto the front. This item is in decent display condition, with light wear and some paint missing on the front, and a broken hinge. From the collection of the late MAD Magazine artist, Mr. Don "Duck" Edwing.

Lot #19 - Early MAD Magazine Paperback Book Advertisement / Order Form MB $5

Here's a cool piece of early MAD Magazine advertising. Produced in the late 1950's by Ballantine Books, this item is an advertisement for all five (5) of the early Ballantine / MAD Magazine paperback books. It features Alfred E. Neuman at the top, and each of the first five (5) MAD paperback books are listed at the bottom. This advertisement measures approx. 4 1/4" by 7 1/8', and is in Excellent display condition. It appears this ad has been taken from a book or magazine, as it looks like some comic-related material is printed on the back.

Lot #20 - Up The Academy Promotional Pinback Button MAD / Alfred E. Neuman MB $5

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman, and Up The Academy memorabilia. Produced in 1980 by Warner Bros. Inc., this item is a promotional pinback button from the 1980 box office flop, Up The Academy. Featuring Alfred E. Neuman as the academy mascot on the front (w/ Jack Rickard art), this pinback was a promotional item given away to movie theatres to help promote the movie. Measuring approx. 3" in diameter, this item has been lightly used, but is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #21 - Pre-MAD / Alfred E. Neuman "Birds & The Bees" Poster 1950's MB $5

Here's a cool piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1950's, this item is a novelty poster featuring an early image of MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. The image of Alfred on this poster was used several times before by other manufacturers, with most using the words, "What - Me Worry" as the text printed underneath the Alfred E. Neuman image. In fact, the company that made this poster also made a "What - Me Worry" poster at the same time as this one. This poster has been printed on heavy stock card paper, and is in Excellent display condition, with virtually no wear at all. It measures approx. 8 3/4" by 11". It is beautiful.

Lot #22 - MAD Magazine Diecast Toy Car Set Of Two (2) Different Single Car Pack MB $10

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2000 by Racing Champions, this item is a set of two (2) different 1/48 scale (Hot Wheels size) toy cars. Originally, there were five (5) different cars produced in the set, and all were sold together in one set, in a graphic display box. These pieces are rare as they display just one car for sale. None of the cars were ever sold individually. These unsold cars are unopened, and in presumed Mint condition, with light yellowing of the plastic case cover.

Lot #23 - MAD Magazine Original Photo Unused MAD T-Shirt Photo MAD #40 MB $75

Here is a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1958 by photographer, Larry Maleman, this is an unused photograph from the photo session for the inside back cover of MAD Magazine #40. This image shows MAD associate editor, Nick Meglin, posing with a female model named Jackie Young. This photo measures approx. 8 1/4" by 10", with an image size of approx. 7 1/8" by 8 1/4". This item is in Excellent display condition, with a light hint of storage and handling wear. The number "3" has also been written in pencil on the back. This is an ultra-rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia, so don't miss out on this one!

Lot #24 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Keychain Subscription Premium MB $10

Here's a cool MAD Magazine subscription premium. Produced in 1998 for E.C. Publications, this item is a rubber Alfred E. Neuman keychain. This item features the smiling face of Alfred E. Neuman and the MAD Magazine logo, and was produced as a giveaway to those people who ordered a subscription to MAD Magazine. Measuring approx. 2 1/4" by 2 1/2", this item has been very gently used, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #25 - Sehome High School Annual Yearbook w/ MAD Magazine Theme MB $75

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1988 by the Taylor Publishing Company, this is the 1987-1988 edition of The Windjammer, the annual yearbook for Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington. This particular edition of The Windjammer pays homage to MAD Magazine, and features the MAD Magazine logo on the front cover, along with a swipe of the MAD Magazine price in one corner, and the "issue" number in the other. The back cover shows a reverse mirror image of the front cover. On the inside, the first page (Table Of Contents) is nearly identical in layout to the Table Of Contents of MAD Magazine. This is a very cool MAD Magazine-themed yearbook, and is one of the more hard to find MAD school yearbooks to find. In Excellent display condition.

Lot #26 - " I Love Sergio" Pinback Button Sergio Aragones / Comicon MB $10

Here's a cool piece of Sergio Aragones memorabilia. Produced in the early 2000's by Sergio Aragones, this is an "I Love Sergio" pinback button. These pinbacks were made by Mr. Aragones for his fans who visited his booth at the Comicon International (San Diego Comic Con) in the 2000's. There were two (2) different pinbacks produced: white with black lettering that says "I Love Sergio" (the word "love" has one heart), and this one shown above. Measuring approx. 1 1/4" in diameter, this pinback button is unused, and in Near Mint condition.

Lot #27 - MAD Magazine Hologram Cards Set Of Five (5) Different 1992/3 MB $10

Here's a unique set of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 and 1993 by Lime Rock International, this is a set of five (5) different MAD Magazine hologram cards. These cards were randomly inserted into packs of the MAD Magazine Series I and II and Spy vs. Spy trading cards, and are relatively difficult to find. These cards are unused, and in Near Mint condition, with light storage and handling wear. The Alfred E. Neuman hologram was included in the MAD Series One set (yellow box), while the Bush/Clinton hologram was included in the MAD Series Two set (green box).

Lot #28 -German MAD Magazine #100 Signed By Seventeen (17) UGOI MB $200

Here's a super rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1977 by Williams Verlag, this is issue #100 of the German version of MAD Magazine. But, what makes this item special is that it has been signed on the front cover by seventeen (17) members of the Usual Gang of Idiots (thirteen from the USA, and four from Germany). The MAD-men who have signed it include: (from the USA) Bill Gaines, Dick DeBartolo, Nick Meglin, Dave Berg, Jack Davis, Bob Jones, Paul Coker Jr., Don Martin, Bob Clarke, Angelo Torres, P.P. Porges, Lou Silverstone, and Harry North. From Germany, it is signed by Ivica Astalos (artist), Rolf Trautman (principal cover artist), Herbert Feuerstein (Editor), and Horst Baerenz (artist). All of these signatures were obtained during the MAD Trip to Germany in 1980. This issue is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear, and would look terrific in a frame.

Lot #29 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman T-shirt Scene Not Herd 1997 MB $40

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1997 by Scene Not Herd, this item is a MAD Magazine t-shirt. The Alfred E. Neuman graphic on the shirt shows Alfred's legs on the front, with Alfred's face and torso printed on the back. The front of the shirt also features the "Another Ridiculous MAD Product" logo above the right breast. Measuring an Adult size Extra-Large (XL), this shirt has been lightly worn and washed, and is in Excellent display condition. This shirt is rarely seen, so don't miss out on this beauty!

Lot #30 - The 20 Dumbest People, Events, and Things Of 1998, 1999, & 2000 MB $10

Here's a set of three (3) cool promotional issues of MAD Magazine. Published in 1999, 2000 and 2001 by E.C. Publications, these are the "20 Dumbest People, Events, and Things of 1998", ".......1999, and "......2000" special issues of MAD Magazine. These issues takes a look at just that, the 20 Dumbest........., but in MAD's classic style of satire and parody. These issues even include a special back page Fold-In by Al Jaffee. These issues were included in several national periodicals in the Spring of 1999, the Spring of 2000 and the Spring of 2001, and are in Near Mint condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #31 - "Pre-MAD" Alfred E. Neuman Pinback Button Unlicensed MB $10

Here's a cool piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1950's this item is a pinback button that features an early "pre-MAD" image of everyone's favorite cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. I am not sure of the history surrounding this pinback, nor am I sure exactly how old it is. All I do know is that it is very cool and very hard to find. It measures approx. 1" in diameter, and is in Excellent display condition, with some light rubbing and scratches on the back.

Lot #32 - 1998 MAD Racing Team Baseball Cap / Hat Jerry Tolliver NHRA MB $15

This is a cool piece of MAD Racing memorabilia. Produced in 1998 by NHRA Properties for E.C. Publications, this item is a cloth baseball cap/hat from the MAD Racing team of Jerry Tolliver. The front of the hat shows the words, "MAD Racing - Unsafe At Any Speed", while the sides have the words, "NHRA" and "What - Me Worry?" stitched in colored thread. This hat has been lightly worn and used, but is in Excellent display condition. Truth be told, the colors are not as bright as what they look in the photos. They are more on the duller side than shiny.

Lot #33 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman 45 RPM Record Radio Station Promo MB $25

Here's a vintage piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1959 by ABC Paramount, this is a MAD Magazine 45 rpm record. The mass-produced version of this record was sold with a full color picture sleeve with artwork by Don Martin. But, this is a rarer version of that record, as it is a white label promotional copy that was given away to radio DJ's. The two songs, Potrzebie & What - Me Worry, were allegedly recorded by Alfred E. Neuman and his Furshluginner Five, although I'm sure it was just a typical 1950's house band that did the job. I have not played this record, so I do not know how it sounds. But, it is in terrific display condition, with some pen marks on the white label. The picture sleeve is also in in terrific display condition, with surface, corner, and edge wear, and some heavier wear along the bottom edge.

Lot #34 - MAD Magazine Art Show Exhibit Opening Invitation Mark Cohen 1991 MB $5

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1991 by the Cartoon Research Library at Ohio State University, this item is an invitation to the opening of the "Humor In A Jugular Vein" / MAD Magazine original art exhibit, which was held from October 6 through November 27, 1991 at what is now the Cartoon Research Library. This exhibit showcased the MAD Magazine original art collection of the late Mark Cohen, and this was the second stop on his 5 year tour of the United States. Measuring approx. 5 1/8" by 7 1/8" unopened, this item is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #35 - Bob Adamcik's Cafe Feature Matchbook w/ Pre-MAD Alfred E. Neuman MB $10

This is a cool piece of pre-MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1940's by the Lion Match Company, this item is an oversize jumbo feature matchbook for Bob Adamcik's Cafe out of Schulenburg, Texas. This item is special, however, as the back of the matchbook shows a pre-MAD Magazine image of Alfred E. Neuman. This matchbook has only seen the light of day just a few times, and it is unused, and in VF/NM condition, with the only noticeable flaw being a red ink smudge on the bottom edge under the word, "Me".

Lot #36 - TANG / MAD Magazine Promo Issue w/ Attached Mailing Cover MB $10

Here's a cool piece of memorabilia from a sweepstakes event with Tang Breakfast Drink and MAD Magazine. Published in 1997 by E.C. Publications, this is a mailed copy of the TANG Special Edition magazine. The TANG sweepstakes drawing was held on July 31, 1997, and the Grand Prize was the winners likeness illustrated on the cover on a Special Issue of MAD. There was only one Special Issue published, and that was for the winner only. These TANG special editions are rather difficult to find, especially with the mailing cover attached. This particular issue is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #37 - An Insanely MAD Collection Paperback Boxed Set Signet 1970's MB $25

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the early 1970's by Signet Books Publishers, this is a boxed set of MAD Magazine paperback books. Entitled, "An Insanely MAD Collection", this boxed set contains four (4) different MAD paperback books: The Self-Made MAD, Sing Along With MAD, More MAD's Snappy Answers To Stupid Questions, and Don Martin Comes On Strong. All of the books are original to the box, and appear to have been read just a few times. They are in Excellent display condition. The display box is one of the best I've seen for this set, and the colors are bright and shiny. The only real flaw with the box is that some moron clipped the pre-printed price from the bottom of each side.

Lot #38 - Alfred E Neuman Model Kit Posthumous Productions Version RARE MB $50

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1996 by Posthumous Productions, this is their version of Aurora's Alfred E. Neuman plastic model kit. Back in the 1990's, Posthumous Productions began producing reproductions of some of Aurora's most popular model kits from the 1960's. This is their Alfred E. Neuman offering. It has been faithfully reproduced in every way, and they even added two additional sticker signs to the mix, "MAD" and "What, Me Worry". None of the pieces have been glued together, and it appears this kit was simply opened and viewed, then left untouched. The only flaw is that the box has some moisture staining on the bottom. But, that's it. Considering the rarity and scarcity of his particular model, this item would be a welcome addition to any MAD Magazine memorabilia collection.

Lot #39 - MAD Twists Rock N' Roll 33 1/3 rpm Record Album 1962 Big Top MB $10

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1962 by Big Top Records, this is a copy of MAD Twists Rock N' Roll, the second MAD Magazine record album. While not very popular, some of the songs on this album include When My Pimples Turned To Dimples, Please Betty Jane (Shave Your Legs), and the popular, She Got A Nose Job, among others. Alfred E. Neuman appears in full color on the front of the cardboard sleeve, with the back is adorned by the art stylings of the late MAD Magazine master caricaturist, Mr. Mort Drucker. The cardboard sleeve shows light surface, corner, and edge wear, while the record shows signs of light use.

Lot #40 - MAD Magazine Publisher / Bill Gaines Business Card 1970's RARE MB $20

Here's a super cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1970's by E.C. Publications, this is the official business card for the late Founder and Publisher of MAD Magazine, Mr. William M. (Bill) Gaines. It shows a red embossed MAD logo, along with the longtime 485 Madison Avenue address, and also Mr. Gaines' office telephone number. Also shown is his job description: Publisher. This card is older than the more popularly seen "Publisher & Chief Bigot" business card, and is far more difficult to find. This particular card shows storage and handling wear, along with some light staining. However, it is still in decent display condition. Besides this one, you'll probably never see one of these in any condition, so here's your chance to snap one up!

Lot #41 - Johnson Smith Company Mail Order Catalog 1995 MAD Cover MB $5

Here's an obscure piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1995 by the Johnson-Smith Company, this is their Fall 1995 mail order catalog. The Johnson-Smith company was known for selling knick-knacks, doo-dads, and novelty items, all at a discounted price. This particular catalog features the Russ Cochran / MAD Reprint volume on the front cover, and the same book appears on the inside for ordering purposes. This catalog has been read several times, and is in decent display condition, with storage and handling wear.

Lot #42 – Set of Nine (9) Swedish MAD Magazine Paperback Books 1960's-1980’s MB $15

Here’s a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's by Semic Press AB, this is a set of nine (9) paperback books from the Swedish version of MAD Magazine. These books feature no original content and are direct translations of their American counterparts. All of these books have been previously enjoyed, and are in decent display condition, with storage and handling wear.

Lot #43 - Spy vs Spy Trading Cards Promotional Shrinkwrapped Set RARE MB $20

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by Lime Rock International, this is the complete set of Spy vs. Spy trading cards. This is a promotional 55-card set that was boxed and sealed, then sent to selected card and collectible shops around the country. These were sent to retailers in advance of their release in order to attract potential buyers for the cards. The box is where the value is though, as these sealed promotional sets are almost never seen. This item is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. It is assumed the cards located inside the box are in Mint condition.

Lot #44 - MAD Magazine / Bill Gaines Letter "Moving On From The Gaines Era" MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by the bigwigs at DC Comics, this item is a letter detailing some of the future plans in store for the staff of MAD in the post-Bill Gaines era. This letter was sent to the MAD artists and writers, as well as the entire MAD editorial and office staff. This particular letter comes from the estate of the late MAD Magazine artist, Mr. Don "Duck" Edwing. It is in Excellent display condition, although it had been tri-folded at some point. The original MAD office mailing envelope is also included.

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1993 by E.C. Publications and Warner Brothers Consumer Products, this is a MAD Magazine licensing sheet. This sheet was sent to prospective vendors who were interested in using the MAD Magazine brand for their products. The front of the sheet features Alfred E. Neuman in full color, while the back gives a history of MAD Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman, MAD merchandise options, and loads of other pertinent information. Measuring approx. 8 ½” by 11”, this item shows ultra-light storage and handling wear, and is in Near Mint condition.

Lot #46 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E Neuman Bookmark Signed By Ficarra & DeBartolo MB $5

Here is a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2002 by the American Library Association, this is a MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman bookmark. The art on this bookmark comes from MAD Magazine #101, and features Alfred E. Neuman sitting at his school desk. The American Library Association produced several kinds of bookmarks and posters, with some featuring cartoon and comic characters, and others featuring nature photos and real people. This bookmark measures approx. 2" by 6", and is in Excellent display condition. As an added bonus, this bookmark has also been signed on the back by MAD Magazine Editor, Mr. John Ficarra, and MAD Magazine writer, Mr. Dick DeBartolo.

Lot #47 - MAD Magazine Employee Gift Bag MAD Magazine Wrap Party 2017 MB $150

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2017 by E.C. Publications, this is a MAD Magazine employee gift bag. This bag was given to attendees at the DC talent party at the Heartland Brewery in the Empire State Building. The party was themed "Farewell to New York MAD," and was held October 6, 2017, the Friday night of the 2017 New York Comic Con. The party was held in conjunction with the completion of the last edition (Issue #550) of the "New York" version of MAD Magazine. All of the MAD staff were invited, and all of the freelance artists and writers who worked for the magazine were invited as well. The bag contains an unopened MAD Magazine / Hot Wheels toy car, a paper MAD Magazine drink coaster, and a pink rubber Spy vs. Spy whoopie cushion. All of the items are contained within a paper MAD "barf bag", which displays Alfred E. Neuman proudly on the front. All items are in Excellent display condition, although the bag shows storage and handling wear. A sealed generic fortune cookie was also included in the bag when it was given out, but apparently has since been eaten.

Lot #48 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Denim Jacket Warner Bros. 1993 MB $50

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1993 by E.C. Publications, this is a MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman denim jacket. This jacket was sold exclusively at the Warner Brothers Studio Stores from 1993 to 1996, and features a beautifully embroidered face of Alfred E. Neuman on the back. The MAD logo is also embroidered, as well as the words, "What Me Worry", which appear of the front left breast of the jacket. This jacket is one of several pieces of MAD Magazine memorabilia produced for sale at the Warner Brothers Studios Stores, with others being a leather belt, a sweatshirt, a metal money clip, a statue, a puzzle, and a wristwatch, just to name a few. This jacket has been gently used, and is in Excellent display condition, with some white paint spots on the front of the right sleeve. It is an Adult size Large.

These books are from the Fanny Hillman series, and are part of a collection of four (4) different titles. This lot contains two of the titles, and contain illustrations by Mr. Aragones. Both books are in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2002 by Lands End Inc., this is their March 2002 clothing catalog. Lands End is a maker of men’s and women’s apparel, and is based out of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. For reasons unknown to me, MAD Magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman appears on the front cover of this catalog, and he’s sporting a brand new, blue, button-down collared shirt. This catalog appears to have been looked at just once or twice, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #51 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Porcelain Plate The Franklin Mint 1996 MB $30

Here’s a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1996 by the Franklin Mint, this is a MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman fine porcelain plate. This plate shows an image of MAD Magazine #218 on the front, while the back shows the words, “Alfred E. Neuman for President” along with a backwards MAD logo and the back of Alfred E. Neuman’s head. This item is a limited edition collectible that was available only from the Franklin Mint, and is relatively difficult to find. It measures approx. 6 ½" by 8 ½", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #52 - MAD Matches w/ Plastic Storage Case 1958 Inspired By MAD MB $20

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1958 by Metalart, this is a plastic display case filled with a set of eleven (11) different matchbooks. These matchbooks were inspired by MAD Magazine, and contain parodies of gas stations, motels, sanitariums, and other businesses. These matchbooks look like they could have been produced by the folks at MAD, but ultimately, they are just simply a MAD Magazine-inspired knockoff. Each of the matchbooks appear to be unused, and the display case is also in Excellent display condition, but has a broken hinge on the back. The original set had twelve (12) matchbooks, but it appears that one of the matchbooks is missing.

Lot #53 - Don Martin "Sound Effects" Sweatshirt Don Martin Store 1994 MB $25

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Don Martin memorabilia. Produced in 1994 by Don Martin Studios, this is an original "sound effects" sweatshirt from the Don Martin studio. After Mr. Martin's departure from MAD, Mr. Martin tried his hand working for MAD's biggest competitor, Cracked. After a few short years, Mr. Martin left Cracked and started to produce and publish items on his own, beginning with Don Martin Magazine, a publication which only lasted three (3) issues. When the magazine didn't fare well, Mr. Martin started reproducing his art on posters, limited edition prints, coffee mugs, and clothing, among other things. This sweatshirt is one of those products he created. This sweatshirt features an illustrated sound effect on each side, and measures an Adult size Extra-Large (XL). It has never been worn or used, and is Mint condition. The original product tag is still attached to the left sleeve as well.

Lot # 54 - New York Times / William M. (Bill) Gaines Original Back Page Ad 1992 MB $20

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by the New York Times, this is an original laminated back page from the June 10, 1992 edition of the New York Times. This item is quite valuable, as it comes from the staff at MAD Magazine, who were paying their respects to the late publisher and founder, Mr. William M. (Bill) Gaines. This item measures approx. 13 1/2" by 22", and is in decent display condition. This item has a few flaws, like creases, rough edges, and double stick tape at the corners. But it has also been laminated, so those flaws are covered bu still seen. The June 10, 1992 edition of the New York Times only contained this advertisement. The full obituary for Mr. Gaines appeared almost a week before, in the June 4, 1992 edition.

Lot #55 - Willard Lives Hardcover Book w/ Alfred E Neuman On The Cover MB $5

Here's a unique piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Published in 1982 by the Mercer University Press, this is a First Edition copy of the book, "Willard Lives". This book was written by author and humorist, Robert L. Steed, and takes a look at his under-grad college days at Mercer University. He wrote these under the pseudonym of Willard Clutchmyer, which was his college nickname. The front cover of this book will be of interest to MAD Magazine memorabilia collectors, as Alfred E. Neuman makes an appearance in his orange and black college sweater. This book has only been looked at once or twice, and is in Near Mnt condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #56 - Up The Academy Promotional Door Poster MAD / Alfred E. Neuman MB $25

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman, and Up The Academy memorabilia. Produced in 1980 by Warner Bros. Inc., this item is a promotional door poster from the 1980 box office flop, Up The Academy. Featuring Alfred E. Neuman as the academy mascot at the top (w/ Jack Rickard art), this poster was a promotional item given away to movie theatres to help promote the movie. Measuring approx. 20" by 60", this item has been lightly used, and is in Excellent display condition, with a horizontal crease in the center. This is one of the rarest promotional items from the Up The Academy movie, and is very difficult to find. Don't miss out on this beauty!

Lot #57 - German MAD Magazine Sticker "Ich Bin Verruckt - Ich Lese MAD" MB $20

This is a super rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the early 1970's by Williams Verlag AB, this is a promotional "Ich Bin Verruckt - Ich Lese MAD" sticker from the German version of MAD Magazine. This item features Alfred E. Neuman on the front, with hippie hair and sideburns, and rose-colored glasses. As some of you may recall, there was also a yellow version and red version of this sticker produced. This one is by far the most difficult one to find, and is quite rare in Germany as well. This item is unused and in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear. It measures approx. 4" in diameter, and still has the original "separation tab" attached.

Lot #58 - Mark Cohen / MAD Magazine Original Art Exhibit Promotional T-Shirt MB $30

This lot contains a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1993 by Seattle's Pacific Arts Center for Mark Cohen, this item is an original promotional t-shirt from the "Humor In A Jugular Vein - The Art, Artists & Artifacts Of MAD Magazine" traveling art exhibit. The exhibit was conceived by MAD Magazine original art collector, Mr. Mark Cohen, who decided to travel the country showcasing his impressive collection of MAD Magazine original art. This particular t-shirt is an Adult size Large, and has been worn and used. But the story behind this shirt (and a few more like it) is that it originally went unsold in the gift shop. The unsold shirts then went into the art education department at the Pacific Arts Center, where they were worn as painting smocks for children. When I contacted the PAC back in 1995 asking if they had anything left from the Cohen show, these shirts were all they had. So I bought all four that had minimal paint stains on them. This is one of the four. The paint drops are concentrated mainly to the pits and neck of the shirt, and the images on both the front and back are largely unaffected.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Originally published in 1997 by John Hett and Tool Publications, this lot contains issue #1 of the MAD Magazine fanzine, The Journal Of MADness. The Journal of MADness was a quarterly fanzine and was between thirty-two (32) and forty-eight (48) pages in length. It covered a variety of topics in the world of MAD Magazine, from recent MAD collectibles and early appearances of Alfred E. Neuman, to various MAD Magazine news bits. This particular issue is part of a twenty (20) issue reprint edition that was produced in 2018. It is numbered 17/20. This issue appears to be unread, and is in Excellent display condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

This particular shirt has been worn, used, and laundered, and is in terrific display condition, with a small spot visible underneath Alfred's chin. This shirt measures an Adult size triple Extra-Large (3XL).

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 1987 by Proplan Inc., this is a playing card game piece from the 1987 board game, LOTTO. This game was created to ride the coattails of the uber popular 1980's board game, Trivial Pursuit, and concentrates on visual knowledge vs. straight memory. There are four (4) categories in the game, and this particular game piece is from the "famous faces" category. This game piece measures approx. 2 3/8" by 3 1/2", and is in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #64 - Don Martin Bounces Back Paperback Book Signed By Don Martin 1963 MB $30

Here's a super cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1963 by Signet book publishers, this is a First Edition copy of the MAD Magazine paperback book, "MAD's Maddest Artist Don Martin Bounces Back". But, what makes this item special is that it has been signed by Don Martin on the inside front cover. Mr. Martin signed this book as a gift to his parents. After the death of his parents, Mr. Martin inherited the book back, and it remained in his collection until the death of his second wife, Norma. This book shows storage and handling wear, some light staining and foxing on the covers, and a small corner crease on the first page, but is still in terrific display condition.

Lot #65 - Alfred E. Neuman Rubber Stamp Arts & Crafts Component 2000's MB $10

Here's a unique piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 2000's, this is an Alfred E. Neuman rubber stamp. This particular stamp was not licensed or sold by MAD Magazine or E.C. Publications, but rather it was produced by rubber stamp craft enthusiasts for their enjoyment. The wooden black measures approx. 1" by 1", with the image being just a tad smaller than that. The black stamped image was not made with an ink pad, so it appears to be a little sloppy. But I think using an "official" ink page would certainly make the stamped image clearer. This item was only used once (for the photograph), and is in Excellent display condition.

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1960's, this is a black and white print, drawn by the late Cracked Magazine cover artist (and early MAD Magazine contributor), Mr. John Severin. Featuring the late MAD Magazine associate editor, Jerry DeFuccio, as the proprietor of a Sake factory, this print also features MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman, as the official taster. This print also has a reference to the "Black Hand Mafia", with the trade mark stamp on the side of the barrel. Measuring approx. 9" by 11 1/4", this item is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #67 - MAD Magazine Style Guide Bound Color Copy Licensee Piece 1993 MB $25

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Originally produced in 1993 by E.C. Publications, this is a bound color copy of the MAD Magazine Style Guide. The MAD Magazine Style Guide was produced for potential licensees to show them how MAD Magazine wanted to market their brand. This guide has pages and pages of graphics and icons, and has sections that feature Alfred E. Neuman, Spy vs. Spy, and the MAD Magazine logo. This particular item is a bound color copy, and is about the size of an auction catalog from the MAD Magazine original art auctions at Christies or Sothebys. It shows a little bit of storage and handling wear, but is in Excellent display condition.

Produced in the 1990's by the 1960's MAD Magazine cover artist, Mr. Frank "Kelly" Freas, this item is a print of MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. Mr. Freas produced dozens of these prints, mainly for use at comic book shows, and other personal appearances. Measuring approx. 8 1/2" by 11", this print is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #69 - Canvas Confidential Hardcover Book Kelly Freas Sy Reit Frank Jacobs MB $10

Here's an obscure piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1963 by the Dial Press, this is a First Printing of the hardcover book, Canvas Confidential . This book was written by MAD Magazine contributors, Sy Reit and Frank Jacobs, and illustrated by the 1960's MAD Magazine cover artist, Kelly Freas. This book takes a look at the "other" side of a famous painting (like the picture of American Gothic, shown), and some of these are absolutely hilarious. While not technically a MAD Magazine book, you can certainly see the MAD Magazine-style humor in each page. This book is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #70 - MAD Magazine Original Production Photo MAD #61 1961 MB $10

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1961 by E.C. Publications, this is issue #61 of MAD Magazine. But, the main item in this lot is the original production photograph that was used in this issue. Originally taken by staff photographer, Lester Krauss, this photo shows MAD Art associate editor, Nick Meglin, wearing a thick black mustache and a sombrero. This photo was used in a photo spread on the inside back cover of issue #61, and it still remains in remarkable condition. It measures approx. 2 3/8" by 2 3/8", and shows a small red check mark on the front. The MAD #61 issue is in fair condition, with a portion of the back cover clipped for a subscription offer.

Lot #71 - MAD Kids Magazine Collection Set Of Seven (7) Different 2006-2009 MB $25

Here's a cool collection of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2006 - 2009 by E.C. Publications, this is a collection of seven (7) different issues of MAD Kids Magazine. MAD Kids was a whole different format to MAD Magazine, and was aimed at the younger reader, primarily at the grade school level. Articles and subjects were kid-friendly, and although some content was pulled from past issues of MAD (and edited to the age group), most of the content was brand new. This collection contains issue numbers 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, and 14, and while none of these are in Mint condition, most are in Fine condition or better. The last issue in the set (#14), is absolutely beautiful.

Lot #72 - 2004 MAD Racing Team Baseball Cap / Hat Signed By Kasey Kahne MB $15

This is a cool piece of MAD Racing memorabilia. Produced in 2004 by Chase Authentics for E.C. Publications, this item is a cloth baseball cap/hat from the MAD Racing team of Kasey Kahne. The front of the hat shows both the White Spy and Black Spy from MAD Magazine, and the words, "MAD Racing - Unsafe At Any Speed". The sides of the hat show the Black Spy on one side and the White Spy on the other, while the back shows an embroidered NASCAR logo and a Dodge Dealers decal. This hat appears to be lightly used, and is in Excellent display condition. It has also been signed in black Sharpie by driver Kasey Kahne on the top of the brim.

This is a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1983 by Williams Forlags AB, this is a bound volume of magazines from the Swedish version of MAD Magazine. These issues feature reprints from the US issues, although there is some original content from Swedish artists and writers. The issues contained in this volume are in Very Fine condition, with light surface, corner and edge wear. The paper wraparound cover shows storage and handling wear. This volume contains ten (10) issues, and all are from the year 1982. This one's a rare one folks, so don't miss out!

Lot #76 - Set Of Don Martin Personal Address Labels 1980's RARE MB $20

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1980's (or 1970's), this is a partial box of self-stick mailing address labels for MAD Magazine's MADdest artist, Mr. Don Martin. MAD had these labels printed up for Mr. Martin. Then, the MAD offices would affix them to any envelope or package MAD would send to Don. There are three (3) labels to a sheet, and there are approximately thirty (30) sheets included in the box. Each sheet of labels measures approx. 1 7/8" by 2 3/8", and they are all in terrific display condition. A few of the sheets do have a few of the labels missing, however.

Lot #77 - Sillie Willie Crazy Coasters Set Of Five (5) Different Pre-MAD Alfred MB $10

This is a cool piece of pre-MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1940's, this lot contains a set of five (5) different Sillie Willie Crazy Coasters. These coasters have funny sayings on them that are appropriate with the times, and two (2) of them feature pre-MAD Magazine images of Alfred E. Neuman on them. These coasters have been used, but are still in terrific display condition, with light scratches and rust marks.

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1997 by Scene Not Herd, this item is a hangtag sticker that was produced for a line of MAD Magazine t-shirts. This sticker features Alfred E. Neuman on the front, along with a red MAD Magazine logo. The back shows the “Another Ridiculous MAD Product” text on the back. Measuring approx. 3 ½" by 4 ½", this sticker is unused and in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #79 - Collection Of Eight (8) MAD Paperback Books w/ School Library Stickers MB $15

Here's a rare collection of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's by Signet Books and Warner Books, this is a collection of eight (8) different MAD Magazine paperback books. Normally, these books wouldn't really cause a ruckus, and could easily be found on eBay for a couple of bucks apiece. But, what makes these particular books special is that they have a special library sticker attached to them. These books were offered for rental usage in both the Duluth Public Library System and the Hennepin County (Minn.) Library System, and the library stamp is shown on the inside front covers. These books have been read and enjoyed, and are in terrific display condition, with inventory stickers attached to both the front and back covers.

Lot #80 - Set Of Three (3) MAD Magazine Editors Proof Issues Unbound RARE MB $10

Here's a rare collection of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1996, and 1998 by E.C. Publications, this is a set of three (3) different MAD Magazine editors proofs. Issues like these were sent to the MAD Magazine editorial team in advance of the release of the specified issue. They were examined for spelling errors, photo positioning, and any other printing errors that might have occurred. The issues included in this lot are Super Special #115, Super Special #130, and the Pop Off Video special edition. These issues are unbound and untrimmed, and are in Excellent display condition.

Lot #81 - Funny Jokes & Foxy Riddles Al Jaffee Book Rare Hardcover Version MB $10

Here's a cool piece of Al Jaffee memorabilia. Published in 1968 by the Western Publishing Company Inc., this is a First Printing of the hardcover book, Funny Jokes & Foxy Riddles. This book contains content that is very similar to his Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions books that Mr. Jaffee wrote and illustrated for MAD, except some of the gags in this book only have one answer to the question, instead three or four. This book has been gently read, and is in Excellent display condition. This is the rare hardcover version of this book, and is incredibly difficult to find.

Lot #82 - Alfred E. Neuman For California Governor Pinback Button 2003 MB $15

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2003, this is an Alfred E. Neuman for California Governor pinback button. This unlicensed pinback button was produced in limited quantities, and was given away at political rallies in the Los Angeles area. The recall ended up being successful, with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger claiming the governorship. Measuring approx. 3" in diameter, this pinback is unused, and in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #83 - 73 Magazine Ham / Amateur Radio MAD Magazine Tribute Issue 1967 MB $20

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1973 by 73 Inc., this is the April 1967 issue of 73 Magazine. This magazine was published mainly for amateur ham radio operators for buying and selling goods and equipment for their radio hobby. This magazine is sort of a "tribute" issue to MAD Magazine, as it features Alfred E. Neuman (Al Freddy Newham) on the front cover, as well as full page parodies of Don Martin, Spy vs. Spy, and Horrifying Cliches. This particular issue has been looked at just a few times, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #84 - The MAD Show Original Printed Broadway Script w/ Rare Slide Set MB $100

Here's a cool collection of The MAD Show memorabilia. Published in 1973 by Samuel French Inc. this is the complete, original script for the popular off-Broadway smash, The MAD Show. The MAD Show ran for over 800 performances at the New Theatre in NYC back in the mid-1960's. French's Musical Library purchased the script rights to the MAD Show, and starting selling them (along with a set of photographic slides) to schools and other groups who wanted to put on The MAD Show in their own venue. This book is 52 pages in length, and although the pages have yellowed, this item is in Excellent display condition. Also included is the complete set of thirty-four (34) photographic slides. Trying to hold them up to the light while trying to photograph them can be a very trying task, but I was at least able to get the MAD color slide and Air Pollution slide in good focus. A few of the slides can also be seen on pages 164 and 165 of Collectibly MAD. All of the slides are in Excellent display condition as well, and are incredibly difficult to find.

Lot #85 - MAD's Don Martin Carries On Paperback Boxed Set Factory Sealed MB $50

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1975 by Warner Books, this is a paperback boxed set featuring four (4) different Don Martin paperback books. The titles of the books in this set include: Don Martin Carries On, Don Martin Steps Out, Don Martin Don Martin Steps Further Out, and Don Martin Drops Thirteen Stories. This box is still factory shrink-wrapped, so for obvious reasons I cannot determine the condition of the books. But, I would say they are in Near Mint, if not Mint, condition. The box looks great, with no issues, and the shrinkwrap film is also complete and attached, although it has separated on the side of the open end of the box.

Lot #86 - MAD Magazine / MAD TV Nylon Zippered Jacket TV Used Prop MB $25

This is a cool piece of memorabilia from MAD TV and MAD Magazine. Produced in the 1990's for Quincy-Davis Entertainment, this item is a hooded zipper jacket that was worn on the FOX Network comedy hit, MAD TV. This jacket features an embroidered MAD TV logo on front left breast, with the word, "SPISHAK", embroidered on the back of the neck. SPISHAK was a fictional company whose products were featured on MAD TV as parodies of infomercials. Their products were usually something stupid that results in either death or injury towards the users (though there are some exceptions to this such as the Backdoor Dinners, Maxi Pad, Wonder Rake 5000, and Omni Bowl.) The salesmen were portrayed by David Herman, Pat Kilbane and Josh Meyers. This item is a Adult size double Extra-Large (2XL), and is in Excellent display condition, with virtually any wear at all.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2004 by Rutledge Hill Press, this is a First Edition copy of the MAD Magazine hardcover book, MAD About Dad. This book contains reprinted features from past issues of MAD Magazine, and contains artwork by the likes of Sergio Aragones, Don Martin, Al Jaffee, Jack Davis, Antonio Prohias, and Pau Coker Jr., among others. This book appears to have never been read, and is in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #88 - Spy vs. Spy Nintendo Power Club Trading Card 1992 KEMCO MB $3

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine and Spy vs. Spy memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by Kemco, this is a Spy vs. Spy / Nintendo Super Power Club trading card. The Super Power Club was a "subscribers only" club formed by the staff at Nintendo Power magazine in October 1992. Readers automatically became Super Power Club members if they subscribed to the magazine. Being a Club member allowed those readers access to bonus material within each Nintendo Power volume. Some of those bonuses included special strategy guides, behind-the-scenes material, contests, coupons for games, and free items such as stickers or collectible trading cards. There were 170 different trading cards produced, and this card is #44 in the set. Featuring the Black and White Spies on one side, this card has been perforated from the card sheet, and is in Excellent display condition.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1975 by Cartoonist Profiles, this is issue #28 of Cartoonist Profiles magazine. Cartoonist Profiles was a popular cartoonist/comic artist publication that contained articles and interviews with some of America's most popular cartoonists. Among other interesting articles, this particular issue contains an article about MAD Magazine artist t-shirt interpretations, with self-portrait drawings from most of the MAD Magazine artists. This issue has been lightly read, but is in Excellent display condition.

This book is filled with reprints from previous issues of MAD Magazine, and contains artwork from your favorite MAD artists, like Don Martin, Sergio Aragones, Paul Coker, Duck Edwing, and Dave Berg, among others. This book is a First Printing, and is in Excellent display condition, with just a hint of storage and handling wear.

Lot #91 - Pre-MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Pinback Button Superior 1941 MB $25

This is a cool piece of pre-MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 1941 by Superior Products Inc., this is a promotional pinback button that features a wonderful pre-MAD image of MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. Superior Products was a manufacturer of gambling punchboards, and produced hundreds of versions, some of which can still be found today. There are two (2) known examples of Superior Punchboards featuring the pre-MAD likeness of Alfred, and both are incredibly difficult to find. Measuring approx. 1 1/2" in diameter, this pin is in Excellent display condition, with some rust staining on the back.

Lot #92 - Ham Radio Postcard w/ Don Martin Art 1960's MAD MB $5

Here is a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1960's, this is a QSL / Ham Radio postcard. This postcard, belonging to a Ham Radio operator named Don Martin, features the art of the MAD Magazine artist of the same name. While not exactly taken from a piece of published art, the art on this card looks exactly like the character image on the "MAD's Maddest Artist Don Martin Bounces Back" paperback book. This card shows very little wear, and is in Excellent display condition. There are also a couple of address stamps on the back.

Here’s a super cool (and rare) piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2015 by E.C. Publications, this is a special free giveaway issue of MAD Magazine. Featuring the musician, Weird Al Yankovic, on the front cover, this is MAD Magazine issue #533. But what makes this item special is that this particular issue was a free giveaway during his 2015 US tour. All MAD Magazines that are sold over the counter or at newsstands have a UPC barcode on the front cover, so that the cashier can scan it and sell it. This special issue does not have a UPC code. This special issue is in Excellent display condition, with storage and handling wear.

Here’s a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1975 by General Book Distributors, this is issue #161 from the British version of MAD Magazine. This issue contains reprints from the US version of MAD Magazine, but there is also some original content from British artists and writers. This issue has been read and enjoyed, and is in VG condition, with surface, corner and edge wear. This issue features Dr. Who on the front cover, and because of that, is one of the most sought-after issues of British MAD Magazine, perhaps even more than the first, #1 issue.

Lot #95 – Set of Nineteen (19) German MAD Magazine Paperback Books 1970's-2000’s MB $40

Here’s a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, and 2000's by Williams Verlag GmbH and Dino Verlag GmbH, this is a set of nineteen (19) paperback books from the German version of MAD Magazine. These books feature no original content and are direct translations of their American counterparts. All of these books have been previously enjoyed, and are in decent display condition, with storage and handling wear. Seventeen (17) of the paperback books are from the first edition of the German MAD, while two (2) are from the second edition. Those two are pictured at the bottom row in Pictures One and Three.

Lot #96 - MAD Magazine #543 w/ Blank Variant Cover Overlay RARE 2017 MB $20

Here’s a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2017 by E.C. Publications, this is issue #543 of MAD Magazine. But, what makes this issue special is that there is a blank wraparound cover attached to it. Initially, MAD released it’s first blank cover in 2016,with issue #538. This is their second blank cover offering, and it is more difficult to find than the first. This issue appears to be unread, and is in Near Mint condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #97 - Liver Moron IPA Four (4) Can Pack w/ Alfred E. Neuman RARE MB $15

Here's an obscure piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 2024 by the Altamont Beer Works out of Livermore, California, this is a four-pack of sealed cans of their Liver Moron IPA (India Pale Ale). Of importance to MAD Magazine memorabilia collectors is the unauthorized use of Alfred E. Neuman on the front of the cans. Proceeds from the sale of this IPA went to benefit the Alameda County Community Food Bank, and although this IPA was canned in 2024, it is still probably fit to drink. But I probably wouldn't. Each of these cans are full, and still factory sealed. The blue plastic cap to hold all four cans together is still attached as well. These cans are all in Excellent display condition, although one of the cans has a small dent at the top.

Here is a very cool (and very rare) MAD Magazine t-shirt. Produced in 1988 by American Marketing Works, this is a MAD Magazine / Spy vs. Spy t-shirt. This shirt features the Black and White Spies up to their usual mayhem on both the front and back of the shirt. I'm not sure if this shirt has ever been worn, it is in that good of condition. This shirt measures an Adult sized extra-large (XL), and is in Near Mint condition.

Lot #99 - 1960's MAD Magazine Original Rejection Slip RARE Signed "Feldstein" MB $100

This is a super cool and super rare piece of MAD Magazine history. Produced in the 1960's by E.C. Publications, this item is an original MAD Magazine rejection letter. A letter like this one was sent to prospective artists and writers who submitted their material to MAD for publishing consideration. This particular example was actually sent to a potential staffer, and shows the 850 Third Avenue mailing address at the top. The MAD Magazine logo at the top of the sheet is embossed as well. This sheet has been signed "Al Feldstein" in blue ink, but the person who penned the signature was actually MAD Magazine associate editor, Mr. Jerry DeFuccio. Early 1960's MAD Magazine rejection slips are virtually never seen (especially on the 850 Third Avenue stationery), so don't miss out on this rarity.

Lot #100 - 1965 Aurora "New Products" Catalog w/ Alfred E. Neuman Kit RARE MB $100

Here's an ultra rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1965 by the Aurora Plastics Corp., this is their 1965 "new products" catalog. This catalog is lusted after by both MAD Magazine memorabilia collectors and monster model collectors as it contains pictures of the rare 1960's Aurora monster models as well. The Alfred E. Neuman kit appears in this catalog, and is shown on both the front and back covers. The front cover is the best part, as it shows a large image of the Alfred E. Neuman kit, and the year, "1965" is printed in the classic MAD logo font. This catalog had been stored in a three-holed binder, and shows three holes punched through the catalog near the top, middle, and bottom of the spine. Other than that, this catalog is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. This item is super rare, so don't miss out!

Lot #101 - Swedish MAD Magazine / Sergio Aragones Display Poster w/ Sketch MB $30

Here's a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine and Sergio Aragones memorabilia. Produced in 1985 by Semic Press AB, this item is a display poster from a Comics festival held in Helsingborg, Sweden on May 21-23, 1985. MAD Magazine's Sergio Aragones made an appearance at the festival, and he was given these to sign for adoring fans. The front features a b/w photo of Sergio in his home studio, with the red MAD logo in the corner, and the back features a sketch of Alfred E. Neuman on a skateboard. The sketch has been signed and dated 1985 by Mr. Aragones. This item measures approx. 8 3/8" by 11 3/4", and is in terrific display condition. There are four tack holes in each corner, and it has also been folded in half at one time, but not for a number of years.

This is a super cool piece of MAD Magazine history. Produced in the 1980's by E.C. Publications, this item is an original MAD Magazine rejection slip. A slip like this one was sent to prospective artists and writers who submitted their material to MAD for publishing consideration. This particular example has been sent to a disappointed prospect, and has been marked with the reason why they were rejected. This item measures approx. 7 1/4" by 10 1/2", and is in terrific display condition with noticeable pen marks, and yellowed tape at both the top and bottom of the sheet.

Lot #103 - MAD Magazine #521 Game Of Thrones w/ Withdrawn Fold-In MB $100

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2013 by E.C. Publications, this is issue #521 of MAD Magazine. However, this particular issue is a rarity, as it contains a "controversial" Fold-In by Al Jaffee. The original Fold-In for this issue (as pictured) was replaced due to assumed sensitivity issues around the 2012 Aurora, Colorado theater shooting. However, some feel that it was pulled by DC to protect their brand, as the shooting occurred at a theater showing a midnight screening of the Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. In any event, a few of the pulled issues were saved, and this is one of them. It shows light handling and storage wear, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #104 - It's A MAD World Paperback Boxed Set Signet 1970's MB $25

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the early 1970's by Signet Books Publishers, this is a boxed set of MAD Magazine paperback books. Entitled, "It's A MAD World", this boxed set contains four (4) different MAD paperback books: MAD About MAD, MAD Power, MADvertising, and MAD's Dave Berg Looks At Our Sick World. All of the books are original to the box, and appear to have been read just a few times. They are in Excellent display condition. The display box is one of the best I've seen for this set, and the colors are bright and shiny. The is a little bit of wear along the edges and corners, however.

Lot #105 - Cartoonist Profiles #11 September 1971 w/Don Martin Article MB $5

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1971 by Cartoonist Profiles, this is issue #11 of Cartoonist Profiles magazine. Cartoonist Profiles was a popular cartoonist/comic artist publication that contained articles and interviews with some of America's most popular cartoonists. Among other interesting articles, this particular issue contains an article about MAD Magazine artist, Don Martin, and shows several paperback book cover roughs (and the finished one). Cracked Magazine artist, John Severin, has also contributed a two-page art panel depicting MAD Magazine founder, Bill Gaines, being interrogated by a group of Russian police. A bald-headed Alfred E. Neuman also appears in the art panel. This issue has been lightly read, but is in Excellent display condition.

Neuman. This image has appeared on dozens of old and antique paper items, particularly on postcards. But, this image is rarely seen on ink blotters such as this. This item measures approx. 3 1/2" by 5 1/2", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #107 - Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) Sticker w/ GROO 1987 MB $20

Here is a super rare piece of Sergio Aragones memorabilia. Produced in 1987 by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF), this is a rare promotional sticker featuring an early appearance of the comic book character, GROO. The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) is an American non-profit organization formed in 1986 to protect the First Amendment rights of comics creators, publishers, and retailers covering legal expenses. This item features the artistry of Sergio Aragones, with an image called, "GROO and The Thought Patrol". This image can also be seen on a poster for the CBLDF as well as a t-shirt. This sticker is still attached to its original wax paper backing, and is in Excellent display condition. It measures approx. 3 1/2" by 3 1/2".

Lot #108 - MAD Magazine / Up The Academy 45 RPM Test Pressing 1980 MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Up The Academy memorabilia. Produced in 1980 by Capitol Records, this is a promotional 45 rpm record from the 1980 box office flop, Up The Academy. The song on this record is called, "Boney Moronie", and was recorded by the group, Cheeks. This record is a rare test pressing, and was never marketed, although a regular 45 rpm single was produced later on the Capitol label. This item has been stored in a generic white paper sleeve with a Capitol Records label affixed to it. Also included in this lot is a Capitol Records record sleeve from 1983. All items are in Excellent display condition.

This item is a smaller version of what was used back in the day to create and illustrate comic book stories. Now, everything is digital. Measuring approx. 8 1/2" by 11", this item features the MAD Magazine, DC Comics, and Vertigo logos at the bottom of the sheet. This item is unused, and in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #110 - Stack Of German MAD Magazines Seventy (70) Issues 1998-2005 MB $50

Here's a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 by Panini Verlags GmbH, this is a collection of seventy (70) different issues from the German version of MAD Magazine. The first edition of the German MAD lasted 300 issues, and was published from 1967 to 1995. The second edition of the German MAD started in 1998, ceasing publication in 2019. These issues feature reprints from the US MAD Magazine, although there is some original content from German artists and writers. These issues are beautiful, and are in Excellent display condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear. This lot includes seventy (70) issues from the second edition of the German MAD, and one (1) issue from the first edition of the German MAD (#218).

Here's a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1962 and 1966 by Williams Forlag AB, this is a collection of three (3) different 1960's issues of the Swedish version of MAD Magazine. The Swedish MAD was one of the earliest editions of foreign MAD Magazine to be published, lasting over 300 issues from 1960 to 2002. These issues feature reprints from the US MAD Magazine, although there is some original content from Swedish artists and writers. The issues in this lot include 1962/2, 1962/4, and 1966/4. These issues are in decent display condition, with surface, corner, and edge wear, with a little heavier wear along the spine.

Here's a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986 by Semic Nordisk Forlag, this is a collection of ten (10) issues of the Norwegian version of MAD Magazine. The Norwegian MAD had four editions (1971-1972, 1981-1994, 1995-1996, and 2001-2006). These issues are all from the second edition, and three (3) of the issues have duplicates (1983/7, 1983/9, and 1984/1). So, there are seven (7) different issues, with three (3) duplicates. These issues feature reprints from the US MAD Magazine, although there is some original content from Norwegian artists and writers. These issues are all in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #114 - Stack Of British MAD Magazines Forty Seven (47) Issues 1972-1993 MB $50

Here's a cool collection of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's by Thorpe & Porter (Sales) LTD., General Book Distributors LTD., Suron International Publications, and Fleetway Editions, this is a collection of fourty seven (47) different issues from the British version of MAD Magazine. The British version of MAD Magazine began in 1959, and survived four (4) different publishing houses, ceasing publication in 1994. A total of 381 regular issues were published, not counting the Special editions, bound volumes, artist editions, etc. These issues feature reprints from the US MAD Magazine, although there is some original content from British artists and writers. These issues have been read and enjoyed, but are still in terrific display condition. Outside of normal storage and handling wear, a few do have some pen marks on the front cover and/or inside pages.

Lot #115 - MAD Magazine / Up The Academy Publicity Campaign Guide RARE MB $30

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine and Up The Academy memorabilia. Produced in 1980 by Warner Bros. Inc., this is a publicity campaign guide from the 1980 box office flop, Up The Academy. This guide contains advertising promos, lists of ways to create buzz about the movie, radio ad spots, a list of the Capitol Records promotional staff for the soundtrack album, and various photos and pictures of the cast. This is rare piece of memorabilia from the movie, and is hardly ever seen. It is 12 pages in length, and measures approx. 11" by 14". It is in Excellent display condition. The original mailing envelope for this item is also included.

Lot #116 - The Journal Of MADness Fanzine Eight (8) Different Issues 1998-2002 MB $40

Here's a cool lot of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2008 by John Hett and Tool Publications, this lot contains eight (8) issues of the MAD Magazine fanzine, The Journal of MADness. The Journal of MADness was normally thirty-two (32) pages in length, and covered a variety of topics in the world of MAD Magazine, from recent MAD collectibles and early appearances of Alfred E. Neuman, to MAD Magazine news bits and interviews with MAD artists and writers. The issues included in this lot are 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16. All issues have been gently read, and are in Excellent display condition, with light handling and storage wear. They are all encased in their own separate plastic sleeves in a display binder, which is also in Excellent display condition.

Lot #117 - MAD Magazine / The MAD Show 3 1/3 RPM Record Radio Station Promo MB $15

Here's a vintage piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1966 by Columbia Masterworks, this is a MAD Magazine full length 33 1/3 rpm record. This record comes from the 1966 off-Broadway smash, The MAD Show, and is the Original Cast recording. But, this is a rarer version of that record, as it is a white label promotional copy that was given away to radio DJ's. I have not played this record, so I do not know how it sounds. But, it is in terrific display condition, with light storage and handling wear. The outer sleeve is also in in terrific display condition, with light surface, corner, and edge wear, and some numbers written in blue Sharpie on both the front and back of the sleeve at the top.

Lot #118 - MAD Magazine Paperback Books Early Titles All 1st Printings MB $25

Here's a neat collection of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's by Ballentine Books, Signet Book Publishers, and Warner Books, this is a collection of nine (9) different MAD Magazine paperback books. All of the books are true First Printings, and this collection also contains two (2) of the earliest MAD paperbacks ever published, The Brothers MAD and MAD Strikes Back. These books are in terrific display condition, with surface, corner, and edge wear. The Brothers MAD book also shows significant wear along the spine as well.

Lot #119 - Denmark / Dansk MAD Magazine First, Premiere, #1 Issue 1979 MB $30

This is a very cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1979 by A/S Interpresse, this lot contains the first, premiere, #1 issue from the Second Edition of the Danish version of MAD Magazine. This issue mainly contains reprints from the US version, but there is also some original content from Danish artists and writers. This issue appears to have been read just a few times, and is in Excellent display condition. This issue is difficult to find, so don't miss out!

Lot #120 - The MAD World Of William M Gaines Paperback Version 1973 MB $15

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1973 by Bantam Books, this is a first printing of The MAD World Of William M. Gaines paperback book. This book, written by the late MAD Magazine writer, Mr. Frank Jacobs, takes a look at the life of the founder of MAD Magazine, Mr. William M. (Bill) Gaines. Starting with his childhood, the death of his father, the inheritance of the Educational Comics (EC) line, the rise and fall of the successful EC Comic book titles, and the beginning of MAD Magazine, this book showcases Mr. Gaines rise to running the most popular (and successful) humor magazine in the USA. As an extra added bonus, the center pages contain full color artist drawings from the famous MAD Trips abroad. Seeing those alone is worth the minimum bid itself. This book appears to have been read just a few times, and is in terrific display condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #121 - TV Guide Full Color Print Signed By Jack Davis To Frank Jacobs 1969 MB $30

Here’s a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1970, this is a full color copy of a TV Guide Cover Print that was illustrated by the late master cartoonist and illustrator, Mr. Jack Davis. This cover originally appeared on the May 24, 1969 edition of the TV Guide, and features Hugh Downs, Barbara Walters, Joe Garagiola, and Frank Blair from the TODAY show. Mr. Davis signed this print, “For My Fren, Frank Jacobs Jack”. This item measures approx. 11” by 14”, and is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear, and a small ½" edge tear near the upper right hand corner of the print. An original issue of the corresponding TV Guide is also included with the print. It is also in Excellent display condition.

Lot #122 - Swedish MAD Magazine Soppase Paperback Book Set Three (3) Books MB $100

Here's a super rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1985 by Semic Press AB, this is a bagged collection of Swedish MAD Magazine paperback books. Entitled, "Soppase Fran Svenska MAD" (Garbage Bag from the Swedish MAD), this bagged set contains the Swedish versions of the following MAD paperback books: MAD's Don Martin Presents Captain Klutz II, the MAD Guide to Sex, Violence, and Home Cooking, and the Sixth Case Book on MAD's Spy vs. Spy. The books appear to have been read just once or twice, while the "garbage bag" shows storage and handling wear. There is also a small area of sticker residue on the front of the bag. This is the closest thing you'll see to a foreign MAD Magazine paperback boxed set, and it would be a huge addition to any foreign MAD Magazine collection.

Lot #123 - Sergio Aragones / MAD Trip To Italy Letter Inked & Colored Original MB $100

This is a super rare (and one-of-a-kind) piece of MAD Magazine history. Drawn and colored by Sergio Aragones, this is a letter that he illustrated and wrote to Bill Gaines, before the MAD Trip to Italy. Besides the full color self-portrait, Mr. Aragones drew a few other caricatures of the Usual Gang of Idiots as they are pictured riding in a boat. Among those included are: John Putnam, Nick Meglin, Lenny Brenner, Al Feldstein, Antonio Prohias, Jerry DeFuccio, Al Jaffee, Dave Berg, William M. (Bill) Gaines, and a vomiting George Woodbridge. This item is in Excellent display condition, with a little bit of light staining on the front. It has also been tri-folded at some point, but not for several years. It measures approx. 8 1/2" by 11".

Lot #124 - Australian MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Balloon Office Premium MB $15

Here's an extremely rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1980's by Horwitz Grahame Pty. LTD., this is an Australian MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman balloon. This item was produced as a giveaway premium at media events when the Australian MAD was still in it's infancy, and is extremely difficult to find. This item features the MAD Magazine logo, along with the words, "What, Me Worry" printed on the balloon, and the grinning mug of Alfred E. Neuman is also represented. This item is in Excellent display condition, but has never been tested for air volume (at least by me). This could quite possibly be the only one of its kind, so don't miss out on this rarity!

Lot #125 - The MAD Show Softball Team Black/White Photo w/ Original Negative MB $30

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the late 1960's, this lot contains an original b/w photo negative from a post-game photo shoot of some members of the MAD Show softball team. The MAD Show softball team consisted of artists, actors, comedians, and authors, all of whom were popular in the late 1960's. Members of the MAD Show team consisted of the likes of Woody Allen, George Plimpton, MAD Magazine's Lenny Brenner and Stan Hart, and a host of others. This particular photo also shows comedians Garrett Morris and Alan King, as well as actors George C. Scott and Jason Robards. The b/w photo was produced from the negative a few months ago, and measures approx. 8" by 8". The negative measures approx. 2 1/2" by 2 1/2". Both items are in Mint condition.

Lot #126 - Alfred E. Neuman Face Sticker Unlicensed? 1990's? MB $5

Here's a cool piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1990's, this is a sticker of MAD Magazine's mascot, Alfred E. Neuman. I do not know any of the history behind this sticker: how old, who made it, for what occasion........nothing. All I know is that it looks cool, and it is unstuck and unused. It measures approx. 4 1/4" by 4 1/4", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #127 - Don Martin Diploma Plaque Original Art 1970's Greek MB $50

Here's a unique piece of Don Martin memorabilia. Probably created in the 1970's, this is a plaque he created for a Greek fraternity. While I know nothing of the Greek language, the miracle of Google Translator picked up a few choice words and phrases: "Diploma", "The Asshole never dies", No fear overshadows him", "He rests for a while then he pulls his dick", "....is awarded the asshole award", "The President, Grigoris Trompas". This item is displayed in an oval frame measuring approx. 6 1/2" by 8", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #128 - MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Production Art RARE 1970's MB $15

Here's some cool MAD Magazine production art. Probably produced in the 1970's, this lot contains two (2) different colored MAD Magazine logos and an image of MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. I am not sure if this art from the USA, as the face of Alfred is unlike anything i've seen published here. So I'm guessing these pieces are European, but I'm just not sure from where. In any event, these piece are very cool, and outside of some light staining are in terrific display condition. Each of the MAD logos measure approx. 1 1/2" by 6 1/4", while the Alfred face measures approx. 6 1/8" by 6 1/8".

Lot #129 - Alfred E. Neuman / George W. Bush Rolled Poster Factory Sealed MB $15

Here's a unique piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 2005 by Studio B Inc., this is a poster of former President, George W. Bush, modified to look like MAD Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman. The middle image is a little grainy, but it was the best I could do, as the Goggle choices were not very prevalent. This poster reportedly measures approx. 24" by 36", and this particular poster is still factory rolled and sealed, and is in presumed Mint condition.

Lot #130 - Get MAD In Charlotte National Cartoonist Society Shirt Bob Clarke MB $50

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1996 by the Southeast Chapter of the National Cartoonist Society (NCS), this is a commemorative t-shirt from their 1996 regional chapter meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Meetings like these are held (or were held) a few times per year for each region of the country. At this particular event, other MAD Magazine artists were in attendance, like Jack Davis, Duck Edwing, and Nick Meglin. This shirt features an image of Bob Clarke as Alfred E. Neuman on the front (or vice versa), and is an Adult size Extra-Large (XL). It appears to have never been worn, although there is a tiny stain on the front by Bob Clarke's goatee. It is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #131 - Finland / Finnish MAD Magazine First, Premiere, #1 Issue 1982 MB $10

This is a very cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1982 by Kustannus Oy Semic, this lot contains the first, premiere, #1 issue from the Second Edition of the Finnish version of MAD Magazine. This issue mainly contains reprints from the US version, but there is also some original content from Finnish artists and writers. It appears this issue has been read just once or twice, and is in Near Mint condition. It is beautiful! This issue is relatively difficult to find, so don't miss out!

Lot #132 - British MAD Magazine Twenty Five Years Of British MAD w/ MAD #1 MB $15

Here's a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1984 by Suron Enterprises Limited, this is a cool special edition from the British version of MAD Magazine. This edition, called "Twenty Five Years Of British MAD", is just that: a look at the past twenty-five (25) years of British MAD. This book contains reprints of past issues of MAD Magazine, and even includes a reprint of British MAD #1, from 1959. This item is sixty-four (64) pages in length, and when you add the thirty-two (32) page #1 insert, you have almost 100 pages of reading pleasure! This issue appears to have been read just a few times, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #133 - MAD Magazine / MAD Stocking Stuffer Special Holiday Edition 1999 MB $5

Here’s a cool MAD Magazine special edition. Published in 1999 by E.C. Publications, this is the MAD Stocking Stuffer special edition. This special issue is thirty-two (32) pages in length, and features reprints from MAD Magazine that have a Christmas theme. This issue was sold and packaged with an Alfred E. Neuman action figure and was never sold individually. This issue is in terrific display condition, with light surface, corner and edge wear. There is also a light crease at the top edge of the front cover, and the back cover has the Fold-In folded. Here’s your chance to read the issue without breaking open your action figure set.

Lot #134 - Utterly MAD Paperback Book Hassell Street Press Edition RARE MB $10

Here's an obscure edition of a MAD Magazine paperback book. Published in the 2000's by Hassell Street Press, this item is a copy of the MAD Magazine paperback book, Utterly MAD. Utterly MAD was originally published in 1956 by Ballentine Books, but this book is apparently "in the public domain of the United States of America, and possibly other nations. Within the United States, you may freely copy and distribute this work, as no entity (individual or corporate) has a copyright on the body of the work". And, a copy it is. Black and White copied pages of the inside of the Utterly MAD paperback book, all neatly bound and trimmed into a new book. And, the original front and back covers have not been copied, and are not bound with the other pages. I will say that the copied pages are a little grainy, and are darker than a printed page fresh off the printing press. This is a truly unique item indeed.

Lot #135 - Bill & Annie Gaines Original Wedding Invitation w/ Color Picture RARE MB $25

Here's a super cool (and super rare) piece of MAD Magazine history. Produced in 1987 by Annie Gaines, this is an original wedding invitation to the marriage of MAD Magazine founder, Mr. William M. Gaines, and the lovely Annie Griffiths. The event took place on Saturday, February 21, 1987, and was held at the Windows of the World at One World Trade Center. The event was attended by many of the Usual Gang of Idiots, as well as several family members and close friends. The comedian, Henny Youngman, was also the entertainment for the evening. This invitation was very simply made, and is a photocopy of Annie's handwritten announcement, folded once over. A color photograph of Bill and Annie is also included, and it measures approx. 4" by 6". Both items are in Excellent display condition.

Lot #136 - MAD Magazine / Alfred as King Kong Soul Of MAD Poster 2014 MB $10

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2014 for E.C. Comics, this item is a color poster that was made from the "Alfred as King Kong", Soul of MAD print. This poster comes direct from the manufacturer, and could actually be considered a " color proof" of the print, although there are no color wheel markings on either side. This poster measures approx, 11" by 17". and is unused and in Mint condition. A number "24" sticker is also attached to the back.

Lot #137 - Completely MAD Paperback Boxed Set Orange / Black Version RARE MB $100

This is a super rare collection of MAD Magazine paperback books. Published in the 1960's by Signet, this is a boxed set of eight (8) different MAD Magazine pocket books. The titles included in this set are: MAD About MAD, Viva MAD, Fighting MAD, Hopping MAD, More Snappy Answers To Stupid Questions, MAD Power, A MAD Look At Old Movies, and Don Martin Bounces Back. All of the books are original to the box, and it appears that they have all been enjoyed at one time or another. They are all in great shape, however. More importantly, the display box shows surface, corner and edge wear, as well as some moisture stains and fading of colors. But, this is one of the rarest color variations of the Completely MAD paperback boxed sets to find, and they very rarely are seen for sale.

Lot #138 - Alfred E. Neuman as Frankenstein Fantasy Display Statue MB $30

Here’s a cool piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in the 2000’s by the Crypt Of Toys, this is a Frankenstein with an Alfred E. Neuman molded head. Many of the items made by the Crypt of Toys are hand-made and one-of-a-kind, and this item is a beauty. This item measures approx. 9 1/2" tall and 5" wide at the base, and is in Excellent display condition. It is beautiful.

Lot #139 - MADTV / MAD TV Promotional Cast Member Cap / Hat 1995 MB $15

Here's a cool piece of memorabilia from the early days of MAD TV. Produced in 1995 for Quincy Davis Entertainment (QDE), this item is a promotional baseball cap / hat that was given to the cast members of the FOX Network comedy hit, MAD TV. This hat features an embroidered MAD TV logo on the front, along with an embroidered QDE logo on the back, and has an adjustable cloth strap and buckle to make it snug and secure. This cap is made of brushed white denim, and is soft and smooth. There is a bit of storage dust on it, but it appears to be unused. It is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #140 - MAD Cover To Cover Signed by Ten (10) UGOI w/ Aragones Picture MB $100

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2000 by Watson-Guptil Publications, this is a First Printing of the trade paperback edition of MAD Cover to Cover. But, this particular book is special, as it has been signed by ten (10) members of the Usual Gang of Idiots. The Idiots who have signed this book include: Mort Drucker, Sam Viviano, Kelly Freas, Nick Meglin (with drawing), John Ficarra, Sergio Aragones (with drawing), Jack Davis, Richard Williams, Al Feldstein, and Al Jaffee. This book is a must-have in any MAD Magazine memorabilia collection, due to the fact that 70% of the people who signed this book are no longer with us. This book is in Excellent display condition, and comes with a color photo of Sergio Aragones signing the book at a book signing.

Lot #141 - "I Got Stoned At Mogadishu" T-Shirt w/ Alfred E. Neuman 1993 MB $40

Here's an obscure Alfred E. Neuman t-shirt. Produced in the 1990's (probably 1993), this is a t-shirt featuring a likeness of Alfred E. Neuman in military fatigues. This shirt was probably produced for the members of the Operation Gothic Serpent, during the Somali Civil War. I know nothing further about this shirt, other than it was made in Kenya. There is no size shown, but it is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #142 - 2007 DC Comics Holiday Christmas Gift Playing Cards w/ Wood Box MAD MB $40

Here's a hard to find piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2007 by I-Mark for DC Comics, this item is DC Comics 2007 employee Christmas Gift. This lot contains a sealed deck of playing cards, and each card is a different DC Comics character. Each of the cards from the suit of Hearts features either Alfred E. Neuman or a MAD Magazine cover. Alfred E. Neuman also appears as one of the Jokers in the deck. The deck of cards has never been opened, and is still factory sealed. The deck comes with a nice engraved wooden display box, and the original black storage box for the engraved wooden box is also included.

Lot #143 - MAD Comic Book Original Advertisement Production Art RARE MB $20

Here’s a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1990’s, this is a piece of 1980's production art from the early 1950’s MAD comic books published by E.C. Comics. These advertisements originally appeared in a few of the other titles in the EC comic book line, and were later reprinted in larger form in the Russ Cochran / EC Comic bound volumes from the 1980’s. This might be a proof from those hardcover volumes, as it is approximately the same size, but I can’t be sure. In any event, these are very cool and would look fantastic framed and hanging on your wall. Each measures approx. 11” by 14" and are in Excellent display condition. There is a blank stamp on the back from the Curtis Publishing Company, with spaces for license # , approved by, rejected by, copyright, contract #, and ad scheduled date.

Lot #144 - Don Martin "Mona Mona" Coffee Mug Don Martin Store 1995 MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Don Martin memorabilia. Produced in 1995 by Don Martin Studios, this is an original coffee mug from the Don Martin studio. After Mr. Martin's departure from MAD, Mr. Martin tried his hand working for MAD's biggest competitor, Cracked. After a few short years, Mr. Martin left Cracked and started to produce and publish items on his own, beginning with Don Martin Magazine, a publication which only lasted three (3) issues. When the magazine didn't fare well, Mr. Martin started reproducing his art on posters, limited edition prints, coffee mugs, and clothing, among other things. This coffee mug is one of those products he created. This "Mona Mona" coffee mug features "Mona Cryya" on one side and "Mona Laffa" on the other. It appears to have never been used, and is Mint condition.

Lot #145 - Alfred E. Neuman For President Pinback Button Norman Rockwell Museum MB $5

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2024 for the Norman Rockwell Museum and E.C. Publications, this is an Alfred E. Neuman for President pinback button. This item was sold in the gift shop during the MAD Magazine original art exhibit at the Norman Rockwell Museum in 2024. The exhibit opened at the museum on June 8, 2024, and ran through October 27, 2024, to rave reviews. The same exhibit, with a few display changes, then moved to the Cincinnati Art Museum, and ran from November 21, 2025 through March 1, 2026. This item measures approx. 2 1/8" in diameter, and is unused and is in Mint condition.

Lot #146 - Japanese MAD Magazine Promotional Sticker Sheet 1979 RARE MB $10

Here’s a rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1979 by TBS Britannica Co. LTD., this is a MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman sticker sheet that's printed in the Japanese language. It was included as a tip-in bonus in the first Japanese MAD trade paperback. That book reprinted selected cover art and interior pages from past issues of MAD, then translated the words in the word balloons into Japanese language symbols. There were two (2) different Japanese MAD books published, and this item is from the first book. Measuring approx. 4 3/8" by 7", this item is unused, and in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #147 - MAD Magazine / MAD Forever Hardcover Book First Printing MB $25

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1959 by Crown Publishers, this is a First Printing of the MAD Magazine hardcover book, MAD Forever. This book is tough to find, simply because it is a First Printing, and also it's optimal condition. I can honestly say that I have never seen a better conditioned copy of MAD Forever than this one. Honest. It is beautiful, with just a hint of ultra-light storage and handling wear. The only flaw (if there is one) might be the store sticker attached to the inside back cover of the book. White pages. No browning. A Near Mint dust jacket. You can't beat this beauty!

Lot #148 - Pre-MAD / Alfred E. Neuman War Bond Envelope Sales Sheet 1940's MB $100

Here's a cool piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in the early 1940's by Walter G. Crosby, this is an original sales sheet for the set of WWII-era war bond envelopes. War bonds are generally known as debt sold by the government to cover military expenses. A man named Walter G. Crosby printed hundreds of different War Bond envelopes during WWII, and five (5) of those feature a pre-MAD Magazine image of Alfred E. Neuman. This sheet features all five (5) images, but with different captions than what are printed on the envelopes. Measuring approx. 8 1/2" by 11", this sheet is in terrific display condition, with light surface, corner, and edge wear. There is also some ultra-light edge browning and a few nicks along the edges. This is more than likely a one-of-a-kind piece of pre-MAD / Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia, so don't miss out!

Lot #149 - Bill Gaines' Personal Wine Tasting Sheets Home Of Art Amster 1971 MB $5

Here's a very unique piece of MAD Magazine and Bill Gaines memorabilia. Produced in 1971 by Art Amster, this is a set of two sheets used during a Burgundy wine tasting that was attended by the founder of MAD Magazine, Mr. William M. (Bill) Gaines. Mr. Gaines supplied the first wine of the evening, a Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet (a French Chardonnay), then proceeded to taste a selection of fine French Burgundies. Each sheet has scribbles from the hand of Mr. Gaines, with both numerical and hand-written notes. This is a very unique piece of MAD Magazine history, as Mr. Gaines was a noted wine connoisseur. Each sheet has been folded at one time or another, but not for several years.

Lot #150 - Pre-MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Pocket Mirror 1940's? RARE MB $50

Here's a cool piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1940's, this is an original pocket mirror with an early pre-MAD image of Alfred E. Neuman on the front. The text on the front of the mirror says, "Mike Gideon - Age 10", and the face of Alfred is spot-on to other Alfred images of the era. I am not sure who or what Mike Gideon was, but he must have been someone important enough be mentioned on the face of a pocket mirror. Measuring approx. 2 1/8" in diameter, this mirror is in Excellent display condition, with light surface and edge wear.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1993 by E.C. Publications, this is a box of MAD Magazine playing cards. These cards were sold exclusively at the Warner Brothers Studio Stores from 1993 to 1996, and are one of several pieces of MAD Magazine memorabilia that were offered for sale in those stores. Other items offered included a denim jacket, a sweatshirt, a metal money clip, a statue, a set of Dave Berg desk plaques, a box of napkins, a puzzle, and a wristwatch, just to name a few. There are two decks of cards in the display box, and one of them is still factory sealed. The opened deck appears to have never been used either, and was opened maybe just to see what they looked like? All items are in Near Mint condition.

Lot #152 - Crazy Covers Display Box w/ Unopened Packs BAD Sticker 1973 MB $15

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1973 by the Fleer Corp., this is an opened wax box of Crazy Covers trading stickers. Crazy Covers were Fleer's answer to Topp's uber popular Wacky Packages, but they weren't nearly as popular in sales. Not even close. The stickers were parodies of famous magazine covers, and MAD Magazine had their own (see the picture in the center). In fact, the image on the BAD sticker was also the image on the 9-card puzzle checklist. This box contains both opened and unopened packs, as well as some 53-year old gum scattered randomly about. I haven't taken an exact inventory of the unopened packs due to their fragility, but there are at least a few unopened packs. As stated above, this is a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia, and would look great on your shelf.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1998 by E.C. Publications and Toliver Motorsports, this is a folder that contains materials that promote the launch of the Jerry Toliver MAD Racing Team. The MAD Racing team first competed in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), with Jerry Tolliver as the driver. MAD Magazine expanded their racing portfolio in later years by adding drivers into the NASCAR field as well as the Sprint car field. Included in this press kit are copies of press releases, MAD Racing team biographies, and a sealed copy of MAD #366 (the NHRA / Team Toliver special edition). All items are in Excellent display condition.

Lot #154 - The "Soul Of MAD" Color Prints Collection w/ Envelope RARE 2012 MB $20

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2012 by E.C. Publications, this is a set of twelve (12) full color prints of selected pieces of MAD Magazine cover art. Collectively called, "The Soul Of MAD", these pieces of classic MAD Magazine cover art were selected as the most representative of what MAD Magazine was all about. It was these covers that were saved from the major MAD Magazine original art auctions at Christie's and Sotheby's auction houses in New York City in the 1990's (but were later sold in their own MAD Magazine original art auction at Heritage Auctions in Dallas). There are twelve prints total, and all of them are in Mint condition. They each measure approx. 8" by 10", and all are suitable for framing. The original storage envelope is also included, which is in Near Mint condition.

Lot #155 - Don Martin Studio New Product Catalog w/ Original Mailing Envelope MB $50

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Don Martin memorabilia. Produced in 1995 by Don Martin Studios, this is an original "New Products" catalog from the Don Martin studio. After Mr. Martin's departure from MAD, Mr. Martin tried his hand working for MAD's biggest competitor, Cracked. After a few short years, Mr. Martin left Cracked and started to produce and publish items on his own, beginning with Don Martin Magazine, a publication which only lasted three (3) issues. When the magazine didn't fare well, Mr. Martin started reproducing his art on posters, limited edition prints, coffee mugs, and clothing, among other things. This catalog is filled with those items listed for sale. This catalog has been looked at just once or twice, and is in Near Mint condition. The envelope is also in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. Also included is the original order form, and a folded one-page supplement to the catalog.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 for E.C. Publications, this item is an Alfred E. Neuman / Spy vs. Spy necktie. This necktie (and others like it), were sold nationally in Sears stores across the country back in 1992, 1993 and 1994. This particular tie features Alfred E. Neuman and the Black and White Spies, in framed images throughout the tie. This tie has been lightly used, and is in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Here's a cool MAD Magazine t-shirt. Produced in 2016 by DC Entertainment, this item is a MAD Magazine logo t-shirt. It feature the MAD Magazine logo on the front, and the partial face of Alfred E. Neuman makes an appearance on the back, at the bottom of the shirt. The words, "DC Entertainment" are printed on the back of the shirt, at the neckline. This shirt has been lightly used, and is in Excellent display condition. The necktag has been removed, but it appears to be an Adult size Medium.

Here's a unique piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 2000's, this is an Alfred E. Neuman for President liquor flask. This flask was created during the "create your own collectible" craze of the early 2000's, and is a cool (but unauthorized) piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. I doubt it has ever been used, but it does show some light storage and handling wear, with a few light scratches on the front. It measures approx. 4" by 4 1/2", and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #160 - 1985 MAD Trip To Italy Bill Gaines Signed Letter Super Rare MB $15

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in August of 1985, this is a signed letter from the 1985 MAD Magazine Trip to Italy. This letter comes from the hand of MAD Magazine founder, Bill Gaines, who sent a letter like this to each member of the UGOI attending the trip. The letter shows that they will depart NYC at 6:45 pm on October 10, and arrived in Rome at 8:00 am the next day. The next eight days would be spent touring the Italian countryside, with stops in Venice, Florence and Milan. This two-page letter is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. It was also tri-folded at some point, but not for several years. The highlight, however, is that it has been signed in red ink on the back page by Bill Gaines.

Lot #161 - MAD Magazine / Original Color Cover Rough Art Duck Edwing 2000's MB $20

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 2000's by the late MAD Magazine artist, Mr. Don "Duck" Edwing, this is a piece of rough cover art from MAD Magazine. Mr. Edwing colored and illustrated this piece (along with several others), and sent them to the editors at MAD for their approval. Ultimately, this piece was not chosen to be a piece of cover art. Measuring approx. 8 1/2" by 11", this piece was drawn with ink on a piece of lined paper, and finished with colored marker. It has been signed by Mr. Edwing in the lower right hand corner.

This is a cool Alfred E. Neuman wristwatch. Produced in the 2000's by Varesini Leather, this is an Alfred E. Neuman wristwatch. The face of the watch features Alfred E. Neuman with his classic grin, and the band is genuine leather. It doesn't appear that this watch has ever been used, and it is in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear. It even keeps perfect time. The original tag and string have become detached from the watch, but are included.

Lot #166 - German MAD Magazine #115 w/ Bonus Toy & Other German MAD Toys MB $20

Here's a very rare collection of German MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 2006 by Panini Verlags GmbH, this lot includes issues 88 and 92 from the German version of MAD Magazine. What makes these issues special is that they come with a bonus "toy" that has been attached to the front cover of the magazine. The item attached to the cover of #88 is called Stinkbomben, and the item attached to the cover of MAD #92 is called Schock Tinte. There were other issues of German MAD that had bonuses attached, like the Schocker Ohr (Bloody Ear) and the Furz Spray (Fart Spray), and those are as equally difficult to find. The toys attached to these issues are unopened, and are in Near Mint condition, with light storage wear. The issues are also in Near Mint condition.

Lot #167 - MAD Grooves Musical CD Unopened Copy Mint Condition MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1996 by Rhino Records and E.C. Publications, this lot contains the compact disc version of MAD Grooves. MAD Grooves is a compilation of songs taken from the MAD record albums from the early 1960's, the MAD Show album from the mid-1960's, and songs from the paper and plastic record bonuses found in the annual MAD Super Specials. Songs found on this CD include: She Got a Nose Job, Makin" Out, It's A Gas, and a host of others. This item was produced in both a cassette tape and CD format, and this is the CD version. This item is still factory sealed, and in presumed Mint condition.

Lot #168 - Swedish MAD Magazine First, Premiere, #1 Issue 1960 RARE MB $40

This is a very cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1960 by Williams Forlags AB, this is the first, premiere, #1 issue of the Swedish version of MAD Magazine. The Swedish version of MAD Magazine was one of the first of all of the foreign editions of MAD, and was also one of the most popular editions, with over 350 issues published. The Swedish MAD ended publication in 2002. This particular issue shows light surface, corner, and edge wear, and is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #169 - Alfred E. Neuman Color Shirt w/ Frank Sinatra Quote On Back 2000's MB $20

Here's an obscure piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 2000's, this is a white shirt with a color picture of Alfred E. Neuman on the back. The front shows the words, "What, Me Worry?" on the left breast, while the back shows the color portrait of Alfred along with the lyrics to the song, "Call Me Irresponsible", which was sung by the legendary crooner, Mr. Frank Sinatra. The t-shirt measures an Adult size Large, and is in Excellent display condition, with virtually no wear at all.

Lot #170 - “MAD 44” Vanity State License Plate Illinois 1980's Used MB $ 15

Here’s a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the 1980’s by the Illinois Department of Transportation, this is a used vanity license plate from the State of Illinois. This plate belonged to a MAD Magazine memorabilia collector by the name of Richard Sherman, and he used the word, "MAD", with the number 44 (presumably his age or maybe the year he was born). Measuring approx. 6” by 12”, this plate has been used, and is in decent display condition, with light scratches, some dents, rust marks, and general wear and tear.

Lot #171 - "The Personalized MAD" The Collection Of Pat DiNizio (Smithereens) MB $25

Here's an obscure piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Created in 1999 by Todd Sinclair, this is a copy of "The Personalized MAD". "The Personalized MAD" is a one-of-a-kind piece of memorabilia that was made for Pat DiNizio, the late lead singer/songwriter for the rock band, The Smithereens. It appears that an adoring fan named Todd Sinclair, compiled a collection of reprinted articles from MAD Magazine, then bound them together into a book. He borrowed pieces of Completely MAD for the cover, then recreated the MAD Table of Contents for the first page. This lot contains the 54-page Personalized MAD book, a folded "God Save The Smithereens" poster, a section of a newspaper, a printed email message, and a packing slip. All items are in Excellent display condition.

Lot #172 - Pre-MAD Magazine / Alfred E. Neuman Paper Napkin 1940's RARE MB $20

Here's an incredibly rare piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1940's, this lot contains an original paper cocktail napkin featuring an early image of MAD Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman. This napkin is from the 467 Club, which was located in San Bernadino, California. This napkin has the restaurant name and the face of Alfred on the front, and the back features a comical joke on "How To Live On $15 A Week". This image has appeared on dozens of old and antique paper items, particularly on postcards. But, this image is rarely seen on an old paper napkin. This item measures approx. 4 3/8" by 4 1/2", and is in terrific display condition, with some light creasing throughout.

Here's a cool piece of MAD Magazine and Spy vs. Spy memorabilia. Produced in 2001 by DC Direct / DC Comics, this is a plush Black Spy figure from the popular MAD Magazine feature, Spy vs. Spy. It turns out that both the Black and White plush figures were very poorly distributed, and are very hard to come by. A recent search for them on eBay yielded several unopened figures (still sealed in their original box) at $199 or more. In any event, this figure is in Excellent display condition, although it is a little dusty. It stands approx. 7" tall.

Lot #174 - Kendrick Lamar Promotional T-Shirt w/ MAAD Logo & Alfred E. Neuman MB $25

Here's an obscure piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2012 by Top Dawg Entertainment, this is a promotional t-shirt made for the rapper, Kendrick Lamar. This shirt was made in support of Lamar's second studio album, "Good Kid - M.A.A.D. City", and features a green MAD logo (with an extra "A") and Alfred E. Neuman on the front. Kendrick Lamar's name is also shown beneath the face of Alfred, and the name is also printed in the MAD logo font. Measuring an Adult size Large, this shirt has been worn and laundered just a few times, and is in Excellent display condition.

Here's a cool piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 2000 for E.C. Publications, this is an Alfred E. Neuman for President rubber pin. This pin was a subscription premium back in the early 2000's, and is rather difficult to find. This particular example is in Near Mint condition, with light storage and handling wear.

Lot #176 - Jack Davis / First Day Of Issue Stamp 8/30/89 USPS MB $10

Here’s an obscure piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1989, this is an official "First Day Of Issue" proofcard that features a US Postage Stamp with art drawn by Jack Davis. Mr. Davis received a great amount of recognition for creating this stamp, and the art was his first ever for a postage stamp. This proofcard is still factory sealed, and is in presumed Mint condition. It measures approx. 6" by 9".

Lot #177 - MAD Magazine Reprint Article Orson Bean Album Bonus Premium MB $15

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1960 by Fantasy Records Inc. (Crown Album Corp.), this is a bonus premium from a comedy album from the late comedian, Mr. Orson Bean. Mr. Bean was a comedian, television personality, and early MAD Magazine contributor, and this bonus was specially printed just for him for inclusion into one of his live comedy albums. The "Making a Paper Eucalyptus Tree" article was one of his first submissions to MAD Magazine, and this bonus insert is incredibly difficult to find. This item appears to be unused, and is in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #178 - An Assortment Of Paper Memorabilia From The Files Of Al Jaffee MB $20

Here's a cool lot of MAD Magazine and Al Jaffee memorabilia. This collection contains a self-portrait note sheet, and hand-written self-addressed paper scrap, and a mailing label (affixed to a piece of white cardboard) from the MAD Magazine offices with Mr. Jaffee's home mailing address written on the front. The note sheet measures approx. 8 1/2" by 11", the brown paper scrap measures approx. 3 1/2" by 5 1/2", and the MAD address label measures approx. 4 1/2" by 6". All three items are in Excellent display collection.

Lot #179 - MAD Magazine / Spy vs. Spy Red Boxer Shorts RARE MB $20

This is a cool piece of MAD Magazine and Spy vs. Spy memorabilia. Produced in the 1990's by Evandale, this is a pair of Men's boxer shorts. These shorts feature the White and Black Spies from the popular MAD Magazine feature, Spy vs. Spy, on the front, and have a Certified MAD logo paper tag still attached. These shorts are a Men's size Small (28-30), and are unused and in wrinkled Mint condition. These were originally sold in K-Mart stores, but are incredibly difficult to find, as the distribution wasn't very good.

Lot #180 - Danish (Dansk) MAD Magazine Bound Volume 1984 RARE MB $10

This is a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1985 by A/S Interpresse, this is a bound volume of magazines from the Danish version of MAD Magazine. These issues feature reprints from the US issues, although there is some original content from Danish artists and writers. The issues contained in this volume are in Very Fine condition, with light surface, corner and edge wear. The paper wraparound cover shows storage and handling wear, as well as a price sticker on the front cover. This volume contains eight (8) issues, and all are from the year 1984. This one's a rare one folks, so don't miss out!

Lot #181 - Original Navy Patch w/ Alfred E. Neuman Likeness 2000's MB $20

Here’s a super rare piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in the 2000's, this is an original cloth patch worn by members of the United States Navy. This patch features a likeness of Alfred E. Neuman, with the words, “Talented and Good Looking”. Measuring approx. 3 1/4" by 3 3/4”, this patch has been lightly used, and is in Excellent display condition. The entire back is the “loop” side of a Velcro fastener, which is why there is no photo of the embroidery on the front of the patch.

Lot #182 - “When We Went MAD” Official Kickstarter T-Shirt Premium MB $25

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2025, this is a t-shirt from the 2025 MAD Magazine documentary, “When We Went MAD”. The Kickstarter campaign for this film started in 2014, and there were specific dollar amounts you could donate that would get you some fun gifts in return. This t-shirt is from the $250 pledge option, and along with the shirt, the recipient also received a pinback button, a DVD of the film, and a postcard. This shirt has hardly been worn, and is in Excellent display condition. It measures an Adult size Extra-Large (XL).

Lot #183 - Diwana (Deewana) Magazine #?? MAD Magazine Cousin From India MB $50

Here’s a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably published in the 1970’s, this is an issue of Diwana, the Indian version of MAD Magazine. While it is not a true licensed foreign edition of MAD, it is a very similar “first cousin”, as it has a similar looking cover boy, a few Don Martin looking characters, and a rip-off of Dave Berg’s “The Lighter Side”. A history of it is described here (thanks to Bernd Engel and his MAD Trash website):

“Christened Chilli, this Indian cousin of Alfred E Neuman, became the cover boy for Diwana magazine, the first full-fledged Hindi humour and parody periodical addressed to adults. Brought out by the Delhi-based media house Tej, Diwana ran till 1986 as a bilingual weekly in both Hindi and English, with the English edition commencing in the early ’70s. Featuring some of India’s finest comic strip artists and illustrators from the mid- to late-20th century, the periodical, like its American inspiration, reflected the zeitgeist of the post-Independence decades through recurring cartoon characters, visual gags and topical satire. In the years after Diwana’s inception, other illustrated comic magazines followed, such as Lotpot in 1969 and Madhu Muskan in 1972, each of which left its own mark on Hindi popular culture. But while these latter magazines have at least a Wiki page dedicated to them, the quarter-century legacy of Diwana seems to have been largely forgotten. Tej has not preserved physical copies of the magazine, and the few that have been digitised and uploaded onto the internet by readers are limited to a short period from the late ’70s to the early ’80s.”

Although it is complete, this issue of Diwanna is rather fragile and delicate. There is some paper loss along the edges and sides, and the interior pages show browning. Despite the fragileness of this issue, it is still in terrific display condition. This is a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia, so don’t miss out!

Lot #184 - The Complete MAD Checklist #2 First Printing 1964 RARE MB $50

This is a hard to find piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1964 by Fred von Bernewitz, this is a first printing of the MAD Checklist #2. The MAD Checklists were the brainchild of MAD & EC Comic fanatic, Mr. Fred von Bernewitz, who began compiling the MAD Checklists at the age of 23. The purpose of each MAD Checklist was to break down each issue of MAD Magazine by article, as they appeared in the magazine. The artist and writer for each article is listed, and on what page they would be found. An online version of this idea can be found at MADCOVERSITE.COM. This volume is complete, and is in terrific display condition, although the front cover is loose.

Lot #185 - MAD Magazine / The Whitest Kids You Know MAD Magazine Mini Issue MB $10

This is a cool promotional issue of MAD Magazine. Published in 2008 by E.C. Publications, this is the "Whitest Kids You Know" special issue of MAD Magazine. This issue takes a look at the hit IFC network series, and includes artwork by Hermann Mejia, Tom Richmond, Tomas Bunk, and Drew Friedman, among others. This issue was included in several national periodicals in the Spring of 2008. This particular issue is in Near Mint condition, with ultra light storage and handling wear.

Lot #186 - Ham Radio Postcard w/ White Spy 1960's MAD MB $5

Here is a unique piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1960's, this is a QSL / Ham Radio postcard. This postcard, belonging to a pair of Ham Radio operators named Pete and Eileen, features the White Spy from the popular MAD Magazine feature, Spy vs. Spy. While not exactly taken from a piece of published art, the White Spy is a very well done caricature. This card shows very little wear, and is in Excellent display condition. There are also a couple of pieces of tape residue on the back.

Lot #187 - The MAD Show Program Venue Unknown 1974 RARE MB $20

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1974, this is a program for a showing of The MAD Show. Initially, The MAD Show ran in New York City at the New Theatre and was wildly successful. After that, shows sprung up in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Los Angeles, where it was a hit in each venue it appeared. This particular program is from an un-named venue, and there is no information about the whereabouts of this presentation anywhere in this program. This program is filled with cast member bios, but that’s about it. A likeness of Alfred E. Neuman also appears on the front cover. This item is in Excellent display condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #188 - Good Days And MAD School Library Hardcover Version RARE MB $20

Here's a rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1995 by Thunder’s Mouth Press, this is a 1st printing of the MAD Magazine book, "Good Days and MAD". But, what makes this particular book special is that it is a former library book. The library is the Library Media Center, located in Glassboro High School in Glassboro, New Jersey. This hardcover book is solid and complete, and is in Excellent display condition, with a bit of sticker residue on the front cover. It was originally a paperback version, but was sent to a company called, Perma-Bound, to have the hardcover version made. Sadly, this book was never checked out.

Here’s an ultra-rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in 1967 by E.C. Publications and WEA Musik GmbH, this is a promotional sticker from the folks at WEA Music. I am not sure of any advertising or licensing deals E.C. Publications had with any foreign companies, but this is an actual licensed piece of German MAD Magazine memorabilia. It measures approx. 1 5/8” by 2 5/8”, and is unused and in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear. The German version of MAD Magazine premiered in Germany the same year this sticker was released, so maybe there’s some sort of correlation there?

Lot #190 - MAD Magazine #202 w/ Australian 1979 MAD Calendar Sticker RARE MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Published in 1978 by E.C. Publications, this is issue #202 of MAD Magazine. Ordinarily, this issue wouldn't amount to a whole lot. But, this particular issue (along with a few hundred others), were shipped to Australia and sold to the Australian market in advance of the release of Australia's first issue of MAD. These issues were received by the distributor, then had a sticker attached to the front cover which advertises the 1979 Australian MAD Magazine calendar. In Australia, MAD Magazines with this sticker attached are hardly ever seen, as there were so few of them produced. This issue is in Excellent display condition, with surface and edge wear on the front cover. There is also a price sticker near the upper right hand corner.

Lot #191 - MAD Magazine / Editors Proof Cover Sheet MAD #186 1976 MB $10

Here’s a cool piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1976 by E.C. Publications, this is an uncut cover proof sheet from MAD Magazine #186. This sheet features the front and back inside covers and the front and back outside covers of MAD #186, all on one sheet. The back is blank. This sheet was given to the MAD Magazine editorial team for their approval before the printing process began, and is quite rare. This item measures approx. 17 3/8" by 23”, and is in terrific display condition, with surface, edge, and handling wear, and light creasing and small tears along the edges.

Lot #192 - MAD Dog Parody T-Shirt w/ A.E.N. Big Dog Sportswear 1998 MB $50

Here's a super cool MAD Magazine t-shirt. Produced in 1998 by Big Dog Sportswear, this is their MAD Dog parody t-shirt. This shirt has the Big Dogs logo printed on the front left breast. But the back of the shirt is where the fun is. The back of the shirt features Alfred E. Neuman as a dog, with the tagline, "What, Me Furry?" printed underneath. The MAD logo also appears, and the word, "Dog", also appears in the MAD logo font. This t-shirt measures an Adult size Extra Large (XL), and is unused and in Mint condition. The original store tag is also attached, and there is an Extra Large sticker attached to the back of the shirt as well.

Lot #193 - Alfred E. Neuman Original Color Picture w/ C.O.A. MAD Wrap Party MB $15

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Produced in the 1980's (picture) and 2017 (certificate) by E.C. Publications, this is an original Alfred E. Neuman color picture with an original "Certificate Of Authenticity". These two items were given away to attendees of the 2017 MAD Magazine wrap party, which was held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Heartland Brewery in NYC's Empire State Building. These items were given away to attendees, along with a gift bag (Lot #47) that included a Spy vs. Spy whoopee cushion, a MAD airsickness bag, an Alfred E. Neuman (or MAD) paper coaster, a fortune cookie, and a MAD diecast car. While preparing for MAD's impending move to California, two boxes of these color pictures were discovered in a store room. It was then decided that they were to be given away, with a special COA produced. These two items appear to be unused, and are in Near Mint condition, with ultra-light storage and handling wear.

Lot #194 - Pre-MAD / Alfred E. Neuman "What - Me Worry" Poster 1950's MB $5

Here's a cool piece of early Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1950's, this item is a novelty poster featuring an early image of MAD Magazine's cover boy, Alfred E. Neuman. The image of Alfred on this poster was used several times before by other manufacturers, with most using the words, "What - Me Worry" as the text printed underneath the Alfred E. Neuman image. This poster has been printed on heavy stock card paper, and is in Excellent display condition, with light storage and handling wear. It measures approx. 8" by 10".

Lot #195 - Omaha (Nebr.) High School Yearbook w/ Alfred E. Neuman 1958 MB $75

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Published in 1958 by the West Side High School of Omaha, this is the 1957-1958 edition of The Shield, the annual yearbook for the West Side High School in Omaha, Nebraska. This particular edition of The Shield pays homage to MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman, and features Alfred E. Neuman on several of the interior pages. Other comic characters represented include Mr. Magoo and Yosemite Sam. Alfred E. Neuman even appears on the bass drum of the high school marching band. This is a very cool MAD Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman themed yearbook, and is one of the earliest MAD Magazine themed yearbooks ever made. It is in Excellent display condition.

Lot #196 - MAD Magazine / Spy vs. Spy Boxer Shorts Canadian 1992 Eaton's MB $30

This is a cool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 1992 by the Canadian clothing company, Watson Brothers, this is a pair of Men's MAD Magazine / Spy vs. Spy boxer shorts. These shorts feature the Black & White Spies on both the front and back, along with the "Spy" logo. These shorts are a Men's size Medium, and are unused and in wrinkled Mint condition, and the original Eaton's hangtag is still attached. These were originally sold in Eaton's Department Stores, and weren't very popular. And, not a lot of MAD collectors were aware these even existed.

Lot #197 - 1960's Play Money Kit Factory Sealed w/ Pack Of Alfred E. Neuman Bills MB $25

Here's a super rare piece of Alfred E. Neuman memorabilia. Probably produced in the 1960's by Whitman Publishing, this is a sealed set of children's play money. I cannot be sure it was Whitman Publishing who made this set, but further investigation indicates that Whitman Publishing did indeed make a few other play money kits with the same plastic coins and green paper check book. But, the star of this kit is the set of Alfred E. Neuman play money. Because this set is contained in sealed plastic, I cannot tell exactly how many pieces of Alfred E. Neuman currency are in the bundle, or the denominations of them. A quick sideways glance makes me think there are at least 20 pieces in the bundle. The header card is missing a few pieces on the top and side, but the plastic wrapper is still in terrific shape. All of the contents (coins, check, and money) are in presumed Mint condition.

Lot #198 - Sergio Aragones Original Sketch To His Wife, Lilio 1964 RARE MB $20

Here's a cool piece of Sergio Aragones memorabilia. Produced in the 1964 by Sergio Aragones, this a drawing he made for his then-wife, Lilio. Sergio was prolific when it came making drawings and doodles for Lilio, and this shows him at his finest. This doodle depicts an older soccer player approaching a younger soccer player, with his private parts flailing about. This sheet measures approx. 7 1/4" by 10 1/2", with an image size of approx. 5 1/4" by 7". Sergio has also added a self-portrait of him and Lilio on the front of the envelope. These two items are both in Excellent display condition.

Lot #199 - VH-1 Music Channel Original Subway Car Poster w/ Don Martin Art MB $30

Here's a super rare piece of Don Martin memorabilia. Produced in 1990 for MTV Networks, this is an original subway car display poster. Posters like there were hung in New York City subway cars, and advertised the latest trends in food, fashion, and entertainment. This particular poster is an advertisement for the video music channel, VH-1, and contains art by the late MAD Magazine artist, Mr. Don Martin. Mr. Martin actually created an animated advertisement for VH-1 (I can even remember seeing it on the channel), and a portion of the art from the animated sequence appears on this poster. This poster measures approx. 4 3/4"by 39 1/4", and is in Excellent display condition. It has been loosely folded several times, just enough to fit inside a manila mailing envelope. This is a super rare piece of Don Martin memorabilia, so don't miss out!

Lot #200 - The MAD Art Of Caricature Original Art Exhibit Signed Bookmark MB $10

Here's a super rare piece of MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in 2009 by Pittsburgh's Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (Toonseum), this item is a promotional bookmark from Tom Richmond's "The MAD Art of Caricature" original art exhibit. This exhibit was held at the Toonseum from August 1, 2009 through October 4, 2009, and featured twenty-four (24)pages of original art from the pages of MAD Magazine, as well as a few pieces of art from the artists who were his influences. Measuring approx. 3 1/4" by 8", this item is in Excellent display condition. It has been signed by Mr. Richmond in black marker pen on the front.
